The BEST KTM/Husqvarna UPGRADE!

Today we test the WP Spring Conversion Cone Valve forks I installed on my 2022 FC350 as well as try out some XC Gear Mako 360 anti-vibration bar mounts. I have been battling with the WP forks being extremely harsh and unpredictable for many rides. Even though the suspension had been valved for me it was not what I wanted out of my suspension and I was nearing the point of selling the bike due to the cost of a spring conversion. I got super lucky with this purchase so I decided to give it one more shot with these forks and I am beyond happy with the outcome. They are amazing and have made me fall in love with the 350.

Glad you found something that works. I could never get ktm air forks to feel good. Best bike they could make is a yz350f

It’s all subjective preference. I came from a Yamaha with KYB valved to my preference. The WP forks in my opinion were harsh and unpredictable. After a bunch of reviews online I had to try out the spring conversion

What year husky? I got a 18 450 looking to do the swap soon. Not sure kyb or Wp yet. Got the kyb swapped on my Ktm 150 and love it.

Mine is a 2022. Honestly any sort of spring conversion will be better than the air forks man.

I have a 22 Fx 350 now don’t ride moto just woods hairscramles trail ride I also use the mako 360 on mine I had my forks revalved and shock also had them put a bladder kit on it my bike rides and handles great I know the converges are better but I’m happy with my set up

@@Moto_Mills I really like them I bn using them for years I use the orange polomae with the blue shark bite on my 350 but I’m 62 and need all the helpn I can get you might like the green polomers and shark bite as fast as you are I’m not very fast anymore still race some but I’m just out riding having fun anymore

@@Moto_Mills my bad mines not a hydro clutch. I got a yz450f. When mine started doing that issue i noticed my clutch cable was too loose. Forgot that bikes hydro. You like it?

@@jarodschuman9405 Still dialing the bike in to what I want it to feel like. I’ve felt some hydro clutches and they are so light and nice. Want mine to feel like that. Probably just need a tune up 🤣

@@Moto_Mills lol regardless riding is looking good man. You can tell there's more confidence in that ride. Front suspension is a bitch to get dialed in. Im in the middle of it myself on the 450.

Pretty sure those forks cost around 4K new, kinda pricey for most people and really only makes sense if you're racing competitively for $$$$ or if you're loaded...

So, yes and no. MX locker has forks for around 2k and you could get lucky and find one in your weight range and not need a revalve. The cone valve allows your to adjust spring rate so that helps on not needing them reworked. I got this set for 1500 cause I know the guy but, for a full package forks/shock you’re looking at 4-5k for sure. Tbh I had the stock suspension revalved and sprung for me. The forks were so uncomfortable even after playing with settings every ride. I couldn’t deal with it anymore. Shock is great honestly.

Air forks belong on a mountain bike or some other children’s toy. I’m done with them. These dog shit forks are responsible for more wrecks than I can remember multiple broken bone and surgery 2yrs of recovery. Stock KTM triple clamps also trash

The bike became completely different with springs. Never going back to air. It was so stiff and uncomfortable. The anti-vibration bar mounts help ride longer and prevent my hands from going numb. What’s up with the bar mounts? Got any info for me? I’m interested

Cones are overkill for most. REP can get the new AER’s with just about equal performance for the average rider

This 22 didn’t have the new XACT 6500 system. I think they started putting those on the 23s.

@@kurtheidelbach well, there are a handful of options to choose from when having suspension done. Unfortunately I did not like how they felt after trying numerous different settings. Slapped the spring conversion on and it was a night and day difference.
