Honestly, all the fighting over boons is kinda silly. You can just take an actually tagging build and ignore the boonfighting. For guardian, just take the spear and permeating wrath with fire sigil. Hits 5 targets every .5 seconds (AA), blasts another 5 every 1.5 (Permeating Wrath) and blasts another 5 every 5 (fire sigil), and heals 5 every .5. Even without quickness, that's 70 potential targets in a five second period and 50 potential ally tagging, just holding the 1 key. Take a few utilities that spread stability (since it tracks contribution per stack, so even five of these in a group aren't conflicting with each other) such as Hallowed Ground, Stand Your Ground, and Advance. It's so much easier and nets you about the same, you aren't conflicting with anyone. Just chill at 3 apm and laugh at the everyone trying to outboon a herald.

I do have some tagging builds ready to go as well! The thing is though is that if everyone brings tag builds you get to the exact same conflicting spot, just now people do too much damage and things die to quickly

@@darensgw2 You're not wrong, especially tagging between doors. Even with longbow, guardian struggles there. But the hyper focus on boons to the exclusion of everything else means you're screwed as soon as somebody else shows up that can cover the same boon. (a bit of an exaggeration there, of course). I'm proposing a *very* chill hybrid build, that is a good fit for some poeple. Does very low damage, a lot of tags, heals, and *stacking* boons. Stability is key here, since it can stack to 25, and one stack is enough to get credit. Which means theoretically, 26 people can all get credit for a kill off one boon. The guardian is also very good at providing moderate durations of it. Meaning you can share with a number of other guardians and not be impacted. I'm not proposing NO boons, just focusing on tagging, healing, and boons that aren't going to struggle with being overwritten for a much more chill time, while still getting the vast majority of the rewards. Would it be ruined if everyone ran it? Of course. But several doesn't really affect you in a way that no other boon gets to enjoy. (might doesn't count, since that's instantly at 25 and just about every class spews it out)

I recently started learning specter thief supp for strikes, tried it out in lab farm and damn it's GOOD as a boon build. I reccomed all of you to check it out. It gives a lot of vigor, resilience, prot and alacrity, some barrier too but I didn't notice it contributing for the kill participation. I don't remember but I don't think any other class can have this much uptime or even acess to vigor I had this idea that rot wallow venom counted for tagging, but with only a harrier armor and no trinkets (0 condition damage) I feel like it does too little dmg to tag but i'm not 100% sure it doesn't tag. But the alacrity uptime! When running from door to door, I could stay in the shadow shroud and pump alacrity all the time just by shooting on the ground. Although the rest of the rotation is more hands on with 3 venoms, heal well and a stability well and spaming dual skill scepter/pistol for the vigor, barrier and regen, with a lot of shadow shroud swap for alacrity. Also for the love of God don't take consume shadows on lab because it will eat up all your energy when exiting shadow shroud

I usually use double staff untamed because I find herald too boring, looking forward to seeing some more active builds and giving this one a try.

The problem starts when you have too many of heralds in your squad. Sadly, in this case they can't get the bags because of sharing same boons and you start to leave a lot of mobs not killed behind. And I mean all the squads where ~50% of people uses them which is not that rare.

Still playing herald, hammer tab + 1 spam tags most mobs already, and boons do the rest

the more guides i see for labyrinth the more i realize i need to have full legendaries and magic find before i do it xD

You don't need to, but yeah - the more magic find the more it's worth it. And having legendaries really makes it easier to create a build. I myself used some armor boxes from the WvW silver chest, but in the end you could even just buy cheap stuff from the trading post (even blue or green if you don't need the concentration stats or similar)
