Props to Coop and Dominique. I 100% agree with them. I don't care if Bird is 0 for 4 from three, when the game is on the line, he'll stick that dagger in. Cooper is right.... percentages don't count. Great reaction bro.

You've gotta love Larry Legend.. just a class act.. he talked trash.. but backed it up.. and he was always a great competitor. I love the stories about Larry even bringing Magic home to his Mom's house and making Magic feel at home. Mama Bird gave Magic a big hug and told him you're my favorite lol. Magic and Larry truly changed basketball for every player out there today. And they did it with class.

The story where a 60 yr old walks onto the floor in his business dress and just starts making 3pt shot after 3pt and then sits down like it was nothing is one of the best Bird stories after he was done playing. Bird retired at 35 and then 25 years later, at 60, still proves he can do it if he wants to.

You do know, behind most of his career he was suffering from severe back pain. Probably the toughest player, ever.

Damn Coop, tell us how you really feel about Reddick's comment 😂 J.J Reddick would have been a water boy had he played in the NBA during the '80's when it was a physical game and not the powder puff NBA that he played in. 🏀✌️

That's no boast either. Hated the Lakers...but if Larry says Coop was the best defender, you can take that to the bank. JJ would have sat on the bench till Coop came out for a breather....then sat down again after Coop returned ... Cuz he'd be useless. 😂

Could you imagine a healthy Larry Bird playing in today's league. He would own it. They can't touch him and he could shot the ball from anywhere, as well as dominated the boards for rebounds. His only problem would be having to keep his trash talking down to a minimum, because apparently you get fouls called on you for hurting feelings in today's league. I had never heard of that commentator before this video. How far did he go in the NBA, or did he even get picked up after college? Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.

I just watched a video of Cooper being told that Larry said he was the BEST defender he ever went against.. That's some props to Cooper.. because Larry could be doubled teamed and still make them look stupid. And all sports Today.. trying to be nice.. but today's sports.. everyone of them are never to the level of back in the day.. Football, Baseball, Hockey, Nascar, Basketball, it's a joke today compared to the 80's/90's..

Larry gave up easy shots to teammates to get everyone involved. He was not a selfish player. If he took all the shots he could have, they'd be saying something else today.

Bird said he didn't like doing interviews because he used to daydream through the games - he couldn't remember much about the games after and gave nothing to the journalists to write about.

Curry has never hit a game winner. Crazy but true. Too small. Lebron picked him up at half court and he couldn't get a 3 off. No one could stop Bird from getting a game-winner off..

It’s weird, I always liked JJ Redick because he’s not afraid to go against the grain and speak his mind like he did with Kendrick Perkins. However his 😊talk about Larry Bird not being a great three point shooter is sheer lunacy!

I hated the lakers, but had all the respect in the world for them, and Cooper was as good as they come as a defender. Worthy was no slouch either.

Quit watching the game, it sucks. "Gonna get mine" Hoosier, Sixer fan bk in the day (DR J) was in French Lick yesterday, drove up Pete Dye hill. Keep watching Bird vids it comes up, he took Buckner there, wore his ass out on that Lil Hoosier MT where Pete Dye built a masterpiece. 49 mins North. Basketball has evolved, beyond me I guess. I could tell crazy stories about the local Sectional games, Huntingburg hosted it. They built a gym in 1951 that held 6,092 fans. 13 team Sectional in the days of Hoosiers, like the movie. Scott Rolen was a Wildcat, playing Forest Park who'd never won it, jokes were made "The Rangers hired a new coach, he's Asian...his name is Winwan Sun" Rolen the HOF Baseball player had 50+ in the loss. An absolute thriller for the ages. The decibel levels, no sitting, bunch of drink American Germans, it's rowdy after. Bobby Knight, Gene Keady, Digger Phelps, Marty Simmons and Nick Nolte. Nolte was studying for Blue Chips, the movie and asked what Hoosier Hysteria was. Knight told him he'd figure it out tonight. When Bobby Knight came to Huntingburg IN it was like Moses entered, the seas parted. It was a bedlam, Rolen crossing the timeline and drawing it just fire. Jasper was Vader, 5 teams 4 from the County. They had a huge slice of the gym, the would spell J-A-S-P-E-R blowing the roof off, Dio loud. The crowd would roar Jasper in succession. Every school would join who was playing Jasper, in unison responds SUCKS JASPER SUCKS Blowing the roof off, sweltering. The gym is empty, not empty but 75% is just weird. We play good ball still but Indiana joined America and went to the Class Basketball System. Hoosier Hysteria, still there but football is king now, I'm down.

My brother has a picture of Nolte walking in my grandparents driveway where they filmed a pickup game for Blue Chips. Unfortunately it got cut from the movie.

It’s math? Yea 3 point line is 1 foot 9” shorter put it back to 23’9” you’ll see everyone’s % go down , Larry took mba 3s 50/40/90 41-42% from 23’9”
