I can remember standing on Monument Circle in the fall of 1983 protesting the police harassment of the gay community. How scared I was of what might happen. I was one of the first to arrive. Thought I might be the only one. 2 hrs later there were about 2 thousand people. We did that for a few weekends, we got our message across. The one thing i remember most was how the police offers commented on how nice and respectful we were. This was the start of Indiana Gay Pride. Today we have openly gay high ranking police officer on the force. My how far we have come if anyone had said that one day we'll be able to get married and have kids I would have laughed in their face!

I don't know. It has happened only in Norway, France, Germany, Italy and I think Spain, too, no? And I think that's not enough, 'cause here, in Greece, for example, things are pretty bad still, let alone in other, smaller countries, like Latvia and Serbia and let's not forget Russia, where, I think, you can go to jail or be sentenced to death for not being straight. Am I wrong on that?
