Rangeline Nature Preserve - 5 black Dimond expert trails along with blue and green trails. 30min north of Indy.

It’s not overgrown don’t lie. Rangeline Nature preserve is home court to the top riders in the state of Indiana. They’re working on additions as we speak close to 10 miles of trail now. A Mario world terrain!!

Totally agree on Brown County, not only the best trails in the state but arguably the whole Midwest. But I notice you only included trails in Southern Indiana and left out some great trails in Northern Indiana.

I’m considering what type of bike to buy to ride these trails in Indiana. I see a lot of full suspension but is that really necessary?

I'm just now getting into mountain biking, did scales last week on a hard tail and did just fine. Hard tail is sufficient in my opinion for most if not all of Indiana.

Thanks for checking out our video! I choose to ride a full suspension trail bike just for some extra comfort on gnarlier trails, but most people around here are riding XC full suspensions and some on hardtails. If your looking to be fast around here, I think an XC full suspension will do just that, but I rode a hardtail around here for many years and it works perfect. Hope this helps!

There are a bunch of brands to choose from, but some of the bike shops around here sell brands like Trek, Specialized, Giant, Kona, and a couple others. There is a shop in Louisville, KY called N+1 bikes that sells some pretty rad brands and they might have something to get you hooked up and riding. I would personally recommend a brand like Kona, Rocky Mountain, or Specialized that would have some pretty good entry level hardtails, and when your ready for a full suspension, I would check out a brand like Propain bikes since they have some really good products at great prices, and you can order them direct to consumer. Hope this helps!
