Thanks for this. Would love to see a video for us northern gardeners who are only down here for plant TLC during the winter and rely on contractor lawn services to do the maintenance 8-9 months of the year. Thanks!

Nice simple design! Could you also describe if the houses you design are East/West or North/ South facing... makes a big difference in terms of hours of sunlight etc. Thanks!!

I love your design! My yard is very small like that one. I can get all of those plants at the big box store. I can't wait for warmer weather to plant!

Hi Jennifer, i love your work especially your gorgeous layered plantings. I've got a question about palm placement and hurricanes! I'm in Barbados and like Florida we've seen a hurricane or 2. In your designs you often place tall palms (or palms that will be tall or very tall) close to buildings, boundary lines and neighbouring houses. I'm surprised sometimes at how close. How great is the risk that palms will be blown down by storm winds? It's the possibility of them landing on a neighbour's house or yard that I'm concerned about mostly. Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much for your generosity in providing us with this information. I have learned so much from your videos. I have taken notes and I cant wait to get to the local nursery to pick out some plants that will work for me in my garden. I have almost 2 acres in Chuluota that definitely needs a new facelift. Unfortunately, I am outside your working zone otherwise I would have loved to ask you to design my yard. I’m looking forward to buying your book. I know it will be full of valuable information.

Jennifer, i have two royal palm tree stumps. I would like to put a silver blue bramiliad on the stump. I noticed the stump has a terrible odor to it. Probably rotting away, so is it ok to plant bromiliad on it?

Another great video! This garden may be simple, but it's perfect for those of us who are new to gardening or do not have the time needed to take care of a more layered garden. I have two questions if you have the time to answer them: How close to the house or to a pool deck can you plant a Foxtail palm or a Christmas palm? Will they do ok on the west side of the house where there is no protection from the sun? Would love to add a couple of them this coming spring. Thank you in advance for your time and for all your helpful videos.

Plant a florida thatch palm (Thrinax radiata) its native will attract pollinators while feeding our birds. Drought tolerant and wind resistant. And super tropical goving us that carribean feel. Native is best

Can the foxtail fern be used in a south facing home landscape? I don't have much shade.
