Randy what size hooks do you use on the small one I have to replace my hooks and going with nano coated. I got a couple of the 4 1//2”’s and also have the small ones 2 1/2” that’s a crank bait bill on it they are the killer ones for small fish and ponds

Just get whatever size owner treble is the same as the stock ones and get the owner hyper wire split rings. Then fish it on sufix 131 braid in 65-80lb test. You can boat flip a tree with that stuff as long as your rod doesn't break lol

@@randyblaukatintuitive me and you have very different styles of fishing, mostly because of location I think. Your always pushing finesse and I'm from louisiana so I'm getting the fish and log jam in my boat lol. Different strokes work for different folks, I think it's mostly product of your environment- you fish alot of highland areas and I'm punching Lilly pads/flipping log jams with a jackhammer in December. Pro tip, an open hook jackhammer will jig vertically through almost anything especially if you rig the plastic like you would on a straight shank flipping hook

Randy, what bait can i use in very grassy dams to catch big bass? We use mainly weightless texas rigs in the dams i fish in my home province in South Africa. We use poppers sometimes but crankbaits or any open hook bait is near impossible to use.

Hollow body frogs, Stanley Ribbit solid body frogs, zoom horny toads, and many other solid body toads weightless or weighted screw lock hook in more sparse areas...buzzbaits perhaps, weedless swimbaits are a possibility too
