If I'm not mistaken the valve you have unplugged is DISA ( Variable Lenght Intake Manifold but in BMW's world ), it's made to give you better torque at lower revs, so it might feel a bit different once you fix that.

It's a matter of personal taste, but owning a beautiful E34 M5 3.8 with 6-speed and the rare buffalo leather option, I have to agree that the E34 is one of the most beautiful Bmws ever made. So timeless and classy. Since I am not American (neither are you, OG Schaefchen), I'd choose the straight six over the V8 any day 🙂 It's hard to beat the sound of the 3.8 straight six at 7000 rpm 🙂

I think the 17 with 255 on the back and 235 in the front is the perfect wheel and tire combo for the e34, Ive put 17 with this exact tire sized on my Touring and it feel great to slide around, like you said its really smooth.

Some Day's Ago I was in South Tirol with my Girlfriend. We drove with a Ford Focus from my Family and Even in this Car. Surfing through these Streets is incredible.
