One reason why I personally like miasma is that you can use it mid air. It comes in handy when the boss gets lifted off the ground from frost mine. Obviously it’s only handy if you don’t shred the boss. I also find that I use it to keep my 6 stacks of Rune Steam up often.

Fasting is none of my favourites, it is to specific with the eating and sunset. Furthermore don't do wisdome, just don't. It is easyly outmatched by blessing of mana and as i stand at 2.5k Mana atm it is obsolete. Runestream is okay, but if that reaper touches you once, all the damage is gone, in an intant. Not very dependable, just like fasting. Breakwater and lifesiphon are most straight forward. Manasiphon if you can aford it, i advice a conjunction with mantra and manashield. Lightningstrike greatly benefits from rightclick for that reduces the area covered while increasing the number of hits on the centred target. Lightningball does not benefit from the rightclikck. The buff of +165% only applies to the first tick, don't do that. Iceray on the other hand gets buffed its entire duration form the staffbuff.

This is a really helpful video. The discussion on buffs cleared up a lot of my issues. Having tried a lot of combinations of skills I finally arrived at a good build, took out a dragon in 4 seconds. On my way to getting more dragon scales!

my absolute favorite is ice mines. it have huge damage, very nice decent range and aoe, can be cast pretty far and annihilate whole cave of mobs in just one cast. Also it is combines with freezing ray. freezing ray sometime only apply chill and dont freeze enemy into ice and cast of ice mines ofter make enemy freeze. dont like lightning orb or strike because it bad unhandy aoe and long cast on orb. While you placing that lightning orb, and it start damaging, enemies just run away and dont even be hit, also it is often much faster just to cast another spell. My second favorite is tornado - sadly it has very very low attack radius, but it just destroy everything, often combine it with time stop or freezing ray and cast on immobilized enemy

Another great spell for sure! One of my favourites, I just don't like it leaving the ice spikes behind, it makes boss rush annoying when the door is blocked haha

lightning ball + bolt is great when starting off. As you obtain gear + levels, having Ice mine and freezing ray is all you will need. It's safe with big range/quick casts and of course the freeze. Just grab buffs as said in video and you should have no issue with w.e you are fighting. Picking up the CD reduction from the basic tree really helps with bringing your big buffs back off CD for boss farming.

I do see what you mean, but I do somewhat disagree, I can hit a lightning bolt faster than I can cast freeze ray and usually it one shots bosses, I do think freeze ray is very good but I personally don't use it and I wouldn't say lightning bolt is great for "starting out" when it one shots max level bosses faster than most other skills 😊 also lightning ball is perfect for mobs and I can get 2-4 boss kill before it runs out 😊 P.s. you say obtain gear or levels, I am max level and have the best magic gear possible in the entire game and I still love my lightning ball and lightning bolt 😊

Fast cast can stack based on the number of targets hit. If you drop 4 target dummies next to a boss and attack you can rest lightning ball in two attacks and recast. Then you have 6+ lightning balls out at once and yet frost beam is still better in most cases.

Looking for someone to help me build the biggest and strangest tavern ever. I already built 4 floors, one of the floors is a huge glass arena for people to jump in and fight monsters. The first floor is a huge place to meet, talk, drink, eat, sleep and trade stuff. Outside the building is a huge racing track that sucks balls because the game didn't let me make something better. I also filled the island dungeon with more monsters. Who wants to join me?
