When I first moved to Thailand i knew i had to try mango and sticky rice, and once I did I was hooked. This Thai dessert is one of a king.
The sweet sticky rice is mixed with coconut milk, salt and sugar and the mango is fresh, Thai mangos really are the best and sweetest and make the perfect fruit for mango and sticky rice.
You can get this at a number of locations around Thailand, but I prefer to get it as street food. Thai street food is probably the best in the world and Thai dessert in general and more specifically mango and sticky rice is no exception, as a Thai street food dish mango and sticky rice is amazing!

Most of Mangoes that use in this menu is "Naam Dok-Mai(mean: Water of Flower)". And I found this kind of mango is planned about 34 yrs in my home town. I not much sweet than local mangoes. I love another kind of mango that called "Ma-Muang Oak-Rong)

"Ma-Muang Oak-Rong" is expensive than "Ma-Muang Naam Dok-Mai". It very sweet, juicy than. Ma-Muang is mango in Thai.

I think the only place you can get it right now is the famous mango shop in Thonglor. Mango season is summer here so april and may you can get some amazing mango and sticky rice!

The nice thing about sticky rice is that it goes with everything, you can even eat it by itself. LoL When it's served with mango it's mixed with sweet and salted coconut cream. It's soooooo good.
