I wish they had every song with both Megan and Katherine so we can see the difference in every song in how they play it. They everyone can make their opinions on who was better. If this was done now they would probably do something similar to Cher show where they have multiple actresses doing different aspects of her life. Megan was perfect for the Marilyn that the media and movies play her as but Katherine is Norma jeane, as in the actual person Marilyn was in life

They can’t be the best if they aren’t Hilty’s version. McPhee is every bit as great a singer, but she was a crappy Marilyn and the show broke itself bending over backwards to justify her being chosen to play Marylin over what should have been the obvious choice.

Agree to disagree. I preferred Katherine's Marilyn in many aspects! Apples and oranges because they are so different. I thin Katherine portrays the innocence of normagene transitioning into fame and then brokenness so well! I thought she never missed vocally! Her version of "never met a wolf" is everything to me, "never give all the heart shows off her voice beautifully, and lastly, I think "Don't forget me" is one of the best Broadway ballads in my opinion and I absolutely loved her rendition!

I love meghan but she was marilyn... she didn't have Norma Jeane's innocence / naivete which is something the real Marilyn always kept (albeit hidden) while Kat's version was both

@@simplysteph_ exactly!!! This right here! Katherine had the innocence and naivety down. Almost, something you can't teach. I remember when Derek finds her hiding during dress after learning about Dev cheating and he said "now you have Marilyn's heartbreak" just showed me she was the perfect choice for the role, especially at the time!!! Don't forget me, will always live rent free in my mind!!!!
