I’m like you, I love mascara!My favorite is the Hourglass caution mascara right now. I was using PML Fetish eyes, but I have oily eyes and found it would be on my eyes lids where the mascara touched later in the day. I think I will give that MAC stack a try, you’ve convinced me! So just ran out of my Mac mascara that make my shirt fine lashes become something amazing that I’ve never had. Cult beauty don’t stock mac, and was doing a haul. So got the Pat McGrath dark star as the CT one smudges on me. It’s nice but on cult beauty, they have there goodie bags again if you spend over a certain amount. part of it was the sweed cloud mascara! And OMG! It’s good! Have you tried it? Since your the queen of mascaras?

I need to try that new one from MAC! My fav is the Essence Lash Princess, it got me off my "2 mascaras" of Definicils & Grandiose that I used to combine together and that was kinda pricey actually lol but for $5 usd, I have not found a better performing mascara that doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, and works well doesn't flake or smudge and is not too exp - the false effect lash princess in the aqua/green tube is my ride-or-die now :)

I bought the Mac Stack Mascara the week before last and tested it heavily during dinners, mingles and parties thursday-saturday. My mascaras needs to be non irritating, ophtalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers, so I’ve only used tube mascaras for the last five years or so. I love this! Doesn’t irritate my dry eyes or leave me with panda eyes when I use my eye drops. It smudges a wee bit, slightly below the brow bone, but not much. (I usually don’t prime and set that high on my hooded lids, maybe I should test that.)

My favorite I’ve tried is the Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara. I am shocked how long lasting it is, no flaking, no budging, and doesn’t dry out, has great full look and separation. I also find with other mascaras that I have to wipe off excess with a cloth before applying but with this wand any excess I can easily brush back in the tube to use later. It’s worth trying out!

My absolute "holy grail" mascara and it has been for years is the Chantecaille Faux Cils longest Lash, nothing has been able to knock it off my top!! It is a little expensive but absolutely worth every penny! Since you are a mascara lover if you can get it in the UK it is worth trying!! I bought the MAC Stack Micro as I figured it would be easier for the lower lashes and can build up the top lashes. It's nice but I don't love it. I also have the CT Push Up but I think I need lessons in using the wand. Also bought Monsieur Big but haven't used it yet. I always seem to get a bit of a panda effect under the lower lashes by the end of the day but I think that might have more to do with my undereye skin, concealer not being set perhaps.

I recommend you to check an Italian mascara. The brand is Mesauda (they work so well! Similarly to Mac) and the mascara is called big and thick. I’m obsessed and I’m sure you’d love it!

Hello, thanks for the work ! I am on a mascara no buy until i use up my million samples so i don’t really have a favorite mascara, but i found a fabulous mascara « top coat » in the thrive one. Basically, i use any mascara first for volume and finish with the thrive. It gives lenght and renders anything underneath budge-proof. I will certainly try your favorite when i am through with my samples ( somewhere around 2025)...😂

I have a terrible time with smudging and transfer too, the CT pillowtalk smudged dreadfully in a matter of minutes on me. It was usuable if I layered a waterproof over the top. But I struggle even with supposedly waterproof formulas smudging and flaking! At least it's available in a travel size to try though 🙂

I am still looking for my favourite mascara. It needs to be brown. Nothing too heavy, no extra volume just make my lashes a little more visible but keeping it natural. My eyes tend to water - allergies, wind, sun, screen time, so needs to stay put too. Currently using a Sisley one, which is ok. But still looking for ideas.

You should try the Victoria Beckham mascara. It has a great wand, small enough to reach all lashes and is on the natural side. You can build it up if you want more drama. The formula is clean which is gentle on sensitive eyes. One of my favorite everyday formulas. The Gucci mascara is beautiful as well.

I love the way you say mascara! Also -- when applying, I always get mascara on the top eyelid (I'm guessing from the brush touching lid thru the lashes when I'm coating the base). Any suggestions anyone on how to stop this while still coating the base of lashes? I hope that makes sense.

That happens every time i do mine, very hard to avoid, but if you leave it for a few minutes to dry it buffs off very easily and gently with a Q tip! x

I am really sensitive to the smell of Mac Stack mascara. It's a sour chemical smell that smells stronger as the day wears on. Estee Lauder mascaras have that smell too, but both companies are owned by the same owner, that must be why. I'd like to try the CT mascara now.

This macstack mascara is confusing to me. Every time I wear it I end up with a dark smudge under my bottom lashes near the outside corner of my eye despite only wearing this mascara on my top lashes. When I was in the mall I walked past a Mac store and there was a poster for this mascara and the model had the same black smudge. Do you get this? Is this a look?

For years I had this idea of a mascara that's the antithesis of your favourite type. Something called 'Lash Gloss', which just darkens the lashes and make them look like healthiest they ever were. I think it would sell when the time is right. Maybe to grab the buyers who want fat lashes, I could market it as a primer? To make your lashes glossy, healthy and primed for heavy duty?

Oh Charlotte, I don't have a favourite mascara .... My diddy, teeny, non existent cough 💨, cough 💨 (please excuse me, frog thing in my throat) "lashes", get whatever tube is open. Yes, yes, I've tried all the great ones you've mentioned (except the Mac) and my pathetic lashes don't look any different. My only concern about a mascara is - how easy is it to remove? It has to remove very easily - I can't afford to lose even one lash due to a little extra massaging to remove said mascara. Love you (and your mega long lashes) 😜💗💗💗

I find all of them flake on me, I get watery eyes staring at screens all day. I unfortunately am someone who needs a waterproof mascara or I will become Alice Cooper. I use La Roche Posay Respectissime but it doesn't give any volume though I like Chanel Inimitable Mascara the best but it is an awful bugger to get off. I do really like CT one but after a few hours it will flake in me but I love the effect.
