The Best Metal Skid Plate For Your E9X M3?

Hi Guys thanks for sharing this. I have the Turner skid plate on my e90 M3. Having gone through a couple of the felt ones which also compromised ride height I decided to solve the problem once and for all as well as give the underside and all the oil lines that run there some proper protection. The Turner product I felt was a bit expensive but extremely solid and well made perhaps a bit of overkill but I am certainly protected now. However it was certainly not as easy as this one to fit, it’s quite heavy and I did struggle with some fittings not quite lining up. It Lao has one hell of a lot of fittings and bolts so it’s not so me thing that is easy to remove if you like playing or changing things on your car in this area. A bonus o f the skid plate I have is that it removes a lot of stuff that hangs down on the E9X M3 that usually scrapes and hosts low driveways or speed humps. It does though have a nice solid piece that if you do scrape takes the impact first. However after seeing this product I think it probably would have done the job for me in a cleaner smaller and by the looks of it a lot lighter and quicker to fit product. BTW how much is this one. Again thanks for posting I just thought I would give you my thoughts on the Turner alternative JP

Wasn’t there an arrow component with the hangers on the OEM felt piece - and does that still function if installed?
