Is the BRAVIA 9 the best Mini LED TV of the year? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments

I think it is. Sony's engineering and processing gives them an edge in so many ways. An 85" display of this quality actually seems like a really good deal now considering the landscape 5 or 6 years ago. It seems to me that TVs have seen nice improvements every year and the prices came down as well. Great time to be a buyer. Thank you for the review Phil! and I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with the TV.

Sony from the corona is not the best TV in the market you don't have all the future out Hardware software to and update problem Enterprise is so expensive 🤔

Why does everyone have to mention if it’s an “OLED killer”? FFS..review it for what it is. It’s the best mini LED ever made by any company and that’s good enough for me! 🔥

Indeed, the qualification that it's the best mini-LED TV currently produced by Sony is an understatement. As VT of HDTV Test has said, it's currently the best mini-LED made of any brand.

I guess because Sony killed their OLED tv this year (no new model)

I mentioned OLED killer because that’s the hype a lot of KZbinrs were spreading and there is no need. It is the best LCD TV Sony has made, as I make very clear in the video. Thanks.

I have been using the 75" as my daily driver for about 4 months now and what keeps standing out for me is how it can easily adapt to different use cases and lighting conditions. I can pull the curtains and have natural sunlight during the day and there is plenty of brightness headroom to overcome that. No dimming or image retention when it comes to PC usage or static logos from news/sports. And most importantly movies still look amazing when you turn the lights out at night. Phil is right though make sure you understand the viewing angle situation going in - the best image quality is going to be limited to 1 or 2 people sitting straight on.

Not an OLED killer, but it doesn't need to be. It gets much brighter in highlights and has far better full screen brightness, but it can also get dark enough to be a Cinema display, too... which is something that has been owned by the OLED space for nearly a decade now. It's a great set!

My written review was published a few weeks back on AVForums. Sony didn’t give UK reviewers the set until the 65 inch was available in November. It won’t be replaced for a while so I don’t see any problem releasing my video now. Thanks.

@@avforums review is ok, but tv itself is garbage. Few days ago there were news about new organic material, expanding lifespan of Oled x5,- we are awaiting review of that.

Yes, but the next firmware update will probably fix it. And if you let it calibrate, DV gets perfect.

In any case, it is the best LCD TV of the year. It has everything you could want, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, perfect for PlayStation, what more could you want.....

Doesn't even come close to OLED quality, Just looks like a pile of rubbish when you see them side by side OLED completely destroys it within a few seconds you realise the bravia 9 is just a glorified LCD TV..
