Most of these races really aren't close, Judge and Ohtani for the MVP, Sale and Skubal for the Cy Young, Skenes for the NL ROTY. There really isn't a good argument for anyone else. AL ROTY is the only one of the 3 major categories that's debatable, Gil is probably the front runner. Manager of the Year is pretty subjective but I imagine Vogt and Mendoza will win, I would personally say Hinch, but the consensus seems to be for Vogt.
@zhaoluyue199519 күн бұрын
If you look at the betting odds for these awards, those really aren't close at all. Judge is -10000 odds (bet 10000 get 100) and the booking has already stopped. Ohtani is at -1405. The only question is whether both will get unanimous top vote. Skubal is at -5000, Sale is at -2900. ROTY is a bit of a different story.

Ohtani to me is a better MVP than Judge, not just because of going 50-50 but the Dodgers had the most injuries on a team and Shohei carried the Dodgers to the best record in baseball, and Ohtani had a great posteseason until he dislocated his shoulder in game 2 of the World Series and afte he underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, other players would've sat out, but his teammates wanted their superstar leader out there and he gave them inspiration, a heart of a Champion. I have more respect for Ohtani playing injured in the World Series than him batting .365 in the NLCS.

Ohtani is not a better mvp than judge, not even close judge won every offensive stat and with 72 less at bats than ohtani cus judge was injured earlier in the season. If judge played on the dodgers or vice versa ohtani would live in judges shadow. Ohtani didn’t show up in the World Series he struck out almost every at bat.
@Leo-ks3tf19 күн бұрын
@@noahmendoza7189That's because Ohtani got injured in game 2 of the World Series, before that he hit .365 in the NLCS, while Judge did nothing the whole postseason but strikeout, except the last game finally got some hits but dropped a fly ball that started the Yankees downfall. (Judge hit just .182 this postseason while Ohtani hit .230 not bad for his first time in the playoffs and if he did'nt get injred the average would've been higher)
@noahmendoza718919 күн бұрын
@ lmao nah bruh there’s no way he injured himself he didn’t fall on it or anything he was just tryna play the part because the Yankees exposed his ahh and threw him out multiple times tryna steal. They had just the same amount of strikeouts and hits remember ohtani had more at bats than judge in the postseason. Dodgers played more games remember they had tighter series. Ohtani had over 8 at bats before they played so your logic is flawed. You can’t compare the two when one had 8 less at bats. Before the World Series.

I want to say something to the anti-Shohei Otani. During his time with the Angels, they said that players who didn't play in the postseason didn't deserve to be MVPs, and with the Dodgers, they said that players who didn't play defense didn't deserve to be MVPs. In 2022, even though the pitcher had 15 wins on the weak Angels, they ignored the pitcher's performance and gave the MVP to Judge. After all, it's because Shohei Otani is Japanese.
@jurinaissance19 күн бұрын
tho i admit him being asian may have a bit to do with it, no it was because aaron judge broke an AL record, the home run record. so he got mvp. so now ohtani made history, started the 50/50 club, i expect him to actually get unanimous. i know he’ll be mvp, it’s ridiculous to not be.
@oliviakim10618 күн бұрын
As for 2022 seasons, I think that it was a personal best of Ohtani. 15 wins ERA 2.33 and 34 home runs 95 RBI. but unlucky that year, Judge was set a new record.

You had me until the judge comp he literally had a historic year, ohtani just did what he does putting up a valuable pitching season while also being a great hitter.
