I’m starting medical school in a few months (insha’Allah). I’m terrified of being sucked into a cycle of late nights and stressed mornings, so I’m using these months beforehand to build some discipline and get a routine in place. I really appreciate the fact you’ve integrated Islam and science into your routine and saved the work for Muslims like me who try to navigate self help videos online whilst upholding Islamic commitments. May Allah bless you Moaaz and the content you are sharing.

something I do in medical school which may help you as well is the following; i sleep after isha directly (9:45pm) alhamdulilah I wake up for fajr at 4:30/5 and I pray then i spend 30 mins doing dua/quran/dhikr (so important; sets the tone for the day so I don’t get sucked into dunya too much) then i have yoghurt and a coffee then finish up yesterday’s lectures 7:40am i make eggs and sometimes a cup of matcha (amaaaazing for energy throughout the day) + get ready 8:30 off to uni 4:30 home + foooooood + chill 5:30/6 study lectures to integrate more quran i joined a whatsapp group chat where we motivate each other by sending 3 pages of quran after each salah so we can reach a khatmah together !!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes i pass out at some point in this schedule which is normal (power naps are nice) + i try to factor in exercise + unforeseen circumstances so i just adjust my studying accordingly and i make sure i’ve achieved my study goals by the end of the week this is just what i do, i hope it helps; just make sure your schedule is helping you reach your goals

5:12 really, that's what most morning routines are. Unrealistic. If I don't sleep after fajr, I have a very low energy level throughout the day because I still want some more sleep. And that disrupts all the tasks and appointments I have during the day. I really like how you put nasheeds and recitations in the background of the videos. Makes me feel so great!

I’m a Christian but I wanted to learn from another man of faith how I could better incorporate my faith into my morning routine. I really love that you started off with your night routine because I’ve always said to others that the way I sleep/the quality of my night routine will always determine the quality of the following day. The easiness of waking up, the motivation and organisation I feel, etc. it’s strongly influenced by my behaviour the night before. God bless you

I think it’s wrong to say that it’s not realistic!

th and you for the tips brother. Another thing u should do for ur sleep is sleep in 90 minute increments. For example u wake up at 4:30 so u should sleep at 12 because because of a 90 minute sleep cycle being over. And when u go back to sleep u should sleep for another 90 or 180 mins. This way u wake up with more energy.
