Honestly I don't understand the ruggable rugs in large sizes because realistically it won't fit in the washer machine anyway . Your still going to have to take it outside and hose it down or spot clean it and for the price you might as well get a new rug from homegoods for less money and better quality. Rugable rugs are very very very thin the only thing giving it padding is the padding you buy separately which costs and arm and a leg for the thicker version. Just my opinion. But I bought a 12 by 10 rug from Amazon for 125$ last year and love it.

I've owned a washable rug (runner size) they stain and it doesn't come out very well imo because of the material.

I bought two runner rugs from Ruggable and returned both. They look very weird when you see them in person. Like a pattern just printed on cloth! Did the same and just bought a cheaper rug off Amazon and I love it!

We have had dogs (and other critters) for years as well as raising three kids & their friends who were always at our place. Pick a rug that you really like and has been treated. Then on a fairly regular basis (1-2x/ year) rent a rug cleaner and really shampoo it We usually do ours in the summer on the deck and let it air dry. Smells and looks fantastic. I don't have a ruggable rug but I cannot believe an 8 x 10 rug from anywhere will fit into a washer and not break it. Have fun !

Now I need to go to HomeGoods and Walmart after just watching three of your reviews. Thank you I love so many items. We built a new home in Florida September was are closing. It's are winter hime. Then my grandson broke his collar bone playing hockey 🏑 back in are home town, that's are Summer home. Two weeks later my husband's appendix burst and he had surgery then right after Thanksgiving my so had a heart attack. September, October and November were very busy and alittle stressful to say the least. Everyone is feeling healthy and happy again. Then I was busy shopping for Christmas so now I need to shop for some new things for are new home as we are now in the new house. I want to get a rug for in the living room too. I feel very blessed and greatful 🙏♥️ Have a blessed week! 🙏

Our friends have a ruggable and the corners keep rolling up and they trip over it all the time. I’ve bought large rugs and clean them myself with a rug doctor for yearly deep cleaning and we have a little green machine for small spills, stains.

I got a Rugland washable rug from Amazon, so far I really like it, and it is very soft. The larger sizes they recommend go in a front loader machine at a laundromat.

I had a 6x9 Ruggable rug for a couple of years. It was very handy during the potty training days with my puppy. It washed just fine in my standard top load washer. It vacuumed beautifully and took wear and tear well. It wasn’t very cozy underfoot but it still felt nice. The cons were that the edges and corners curled up slightly, and at that size was difficult to put back down evenly without a second person to help. Otherwise I don’t regret the investment. After the puppy grew up and became fully house broken we did a little restyling of the home and I decided to redecorate. I went with a larger rug in that area of the house and sold the Ruggable on marketplace. If you are in that transition stage with kids and pets it could be a good option.

Not a Ruggable but there are some great options on Wayfair. I did not get a washable rug but got a "performance" rug which is easier to clean from the Kelly Clarkson collection. So far so good - has stood up to the toddler coloring with washable markers and the cat getting sick 😜

Take a look at Tumble rugs as an alternative to Ruggable. They are beautiful, super soft, and they include the pad, so they are a good bit cheaper. The ends of the rug tuck over the pad, so they don’t curl up either.

Hi Katie, 😀 I’ve never owned a big area rug . What are your tips and tricks on cleaning it? whenever my small area rugs would get dirty I would spot clean but if they got really nasty overtime, I would just throw them away. Any recommendations? I’ve always wondered how people clean a vintage rug?✨🤍

I have a ruggable runner, and I have thought the same thing bc we have 2 dogs and a baby and I could never imagine putting a 8x10 rug back on the mat bc even a runner is so hard to get it back on the mat lined up if that makes sense! It also flips up on the sides and doesn’t lay flat well. So honestly I do love that I can wash it but I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite at all.

I have a few ruggables, and I do LOVE my kitchen runner, and door mats… love the washability and durability. I also have them in larger areas as well, not sure if I would repurchase those. I would probably get a cheaper one and just swap it out every 3-4 years. Ruggable is pricey, but I’d say it’s worth the price for the kitchen.

Katie, you're not going to be washing an 8 x10 or 9 x 12 in a washer. You need a large area rug for impact and versatility, a much better value!

I do have, and love, my ruggable rugs in my kitchen. Sometimes the ends roll up a little (from the bottom sticky pad) when I walk over it, but I guess I need to pick up my feet better! 😂. I really love how easy they are to wash, I’d buy again. I’m also wanting to find another brand of washable rugs too, that might be less expensive, to replace my living room rug… ruggables are pretty spendy.

I wanted a Ruggable rug so badly. We have a smaller one, maybe 5 X 7 and I have to say it’s not my favorite… 😏 It washes fine but is a struggle to get back on the pad & when I run the sweeper over it it bunches up in spots. Could totally be user error but won’t purchase another. 🤷🏻♀️

Just say NO to Ruggable. The edges curl too much and don’t lay well to my liking. Plus with edges that don’t lay flat, it’s a trip hazard.

My niece bought a ruggable rug for her nursery. I was not impressed at all. So thin. She has a wood floor in her nursery and it does not absorb the noise. I can see using the ruggable rug in a room that has carpet to add a another layer or in a high traffic area like in a foyer but if you want to enjoy the softness or texture of a rug, I would not recommend. That being said I have 2 older cats with accidents so yes I would be interested in something washable for them but right now we are doing without as they ruined a brand new rug we had purchased.
@lyndadeccio7059 ай бұрын
I saw a ruggable ad in a magazine that I absolutely loved so I ordered in for my kitchen. Once it arrived and I unboxed it, it looked completely different from the one in the ad and it was super thin and cheap looking. I instantaneous hated it so I looked up how to return and learned that the shipping is on you AND there’s significant restocking fee. After paying all of that my return dollar amount it just wasn’t worth it so I ended up putting it in the trash. I would never buy anything from them again so buyer beware!
@thedailydonna48749 ай бұрын
No ruggable rugs! The ends curl up and they shrink when washed so they don’t line up with the mat. Also too expensive for the poor quality.
@theladynextdoor3139 ай бұрын
I am NOT a fan of the “washable” rugs. I washed a runner in my machine and it was a mess. Throws off the the balance and never spins right. It took about 3 days outside to dry!! Never again. I will just use my steam cleaner. I didn’t buy the ruggable ones, the review’s aren’t good. I got mine off Amazon and it’s much better quality.
