Remember folks, Jan and Feb are considered dump months for studios, mostly mid Jan to early, mid or late Feb. This doesn't mean that all movies released in the dump month(s) or "The Dead Zone" is going to suck. There have been some pretty good movies that were released in Jan including: The Count of Monte Cristo Split Cloverfield Half Baked Juice ('92) Tremors Now, some of these did not do that great on release but later became classics and made bank through rentals. These are the exception(s) tho, not the rule.

All these creepy movies I love. Working in a jail for 18 years I have heard stories that will give you nightmares for life. Real life monsters. Some people know because tv, some get pled out and hide the monster. The worst crimes involve children. People can't stomach hearing it so they lock the monster away. But monsters like to recall, brag, relive thier crimes. They can't even tell other inmates because they will be hurt badly. If they are around someone like them, separate and safe the nightmares flow all through the night. I have heard it all. Boo

Longlegs was so dull, I could not wait for it to be over. Substance was insane, but needed to cut out the last twenty minutes, Salem's Lot = Vampires for Dummies. It was awful.

Yes I agree with you about Longlegs. I didn’t get the main actress’s performance. Not to knock her in her ability but some odd choices that didn’t work. However Nicolas Cage was brilliant. He has the experience and really lets himself go. I’ll take what you said about Salem’s Lot and skip it. Shame because it’s a great story.
