I tried this last sunday. My husband was like fish stew with hake no use another fish and I insisted after tasting the stew he gave me a hand shake. Sisi Yemmie I always try your recipes to impress my husband and they work like a charm. Thank you so much.

This is one of my favorite fishes for stew. it’s very easy to clean and doesn’t have much bones. We call it Whiting though but they are pretty much the same. I’ve just learnt the other name now. Looks so delicious

thanks for the video. When I am in Nigeria I have fish more than any other dish - usually croaker fried/grilled with a tomato sauce poured on top...I am not Nigerian so always wondered how to make this tomato base sauce... its funny as I grew up not enjoying fish meals because we used to have to clean fish whenever it was bought for us to bag it and freeze it. In a different way I appreciate KZbin as well coz I now see different ways of making Nigerian tomato base-sauce. Thank you for sharing yours and more generally for your really funny videos which remind me so much of my Nigeria trips. I can't wait to start travelling to West Africa again when things settle down again

Looks yummy, though I don’t eat fish! Would you mind doing a video on the differences of using bell peppers or tomatoes, etc for stews and why some folks use some over the other or why they use both when they do? I hope I’m making sense lol. I’d like to get a better understanding please.
