Super bob was as good as alan shearer, an albion legend. He scored the goals to drag albion from league 1 up to the premier league.Brilliant man who is albion through and through.

I remember standing in the Smethwick End as an 9/10 year old baggies fan sing Super bob, super , super bob, super super bobby Taylor!! He then tried to score from the half way line and hit the cross bar in the 90th minute. One of my fondest memories.

Ah the Smethwick end. Halfords lane.i was born further down past the traffic island onto Brasshouse lane at number23.my nan and granddad burgoyne house. I vaguely remember Bob Taylor and his goal scoring ability. Bloody fantastic.

Bob Taylor, Andy hunt up top and Richard sneekes behind its always surprised me we always seemed to struggle. Manager after manager never plugged our midfield or defences gaps. With that forward we should have been a real force!!! Kevin's donovan right and killer on the left our midfield only needed a ball winner who had vision yet a lot of players were signed that simply weren't good enough to do that roll the worst being Andy effing Townsend. At the back was always the same faces Burgess Raven Marden good club men but I'm sure they'd admit at not being quite good enough to take the club on to another level. Ardilies,Burkinshaw, Buckley Harford, Smith and the totally useless Brian little all tried all failed then came Gary Megson and for 20 years we became the potm! HE SORTED IT !

It's a pity we could not have found a striker like Bob, Kevin Phillips, goal scoring midfielder like bomber. Mabe we wouldnt be looking at championship football next season.
