I just watched this film yesterday with my mother who was born in 1961. We both never heard of this story. This film we both loved and it was somewhat educating by teaching us the legacy of Ann Atwater and C.P Ellis. The fact that a Klan's leader and an African American woman became friends under very unlikely circumstances in their time and changed North Carolina's history regarding school integration is a story that must be brought to light.

Just watched this movie recently! This is a story ive never heard of. Its a shame these people arent more popular and well known. This was a much bigger historical event in our country's history and should be thought of as such! What a strong group of people! And so well portrayed by the cast and movie! WELL DONE! Just another movie that proves why Taraji P. Henson is one of the greatest actors of all time. I saw this movie last night and I can tell you Sam and Taraji were absolutely brilliant and the movie is outstanding. I'm not into movies that have all dialogue and less action, but guess what?? This one kept me glued all along and I had to take a bow for how well it was made. JUST GO SEE IT!
