I can remember having to make up a multitude of excuses to put off going to bed just to get a glimpse of Graham on the tv. A truly wonderful talent and combined with Moonface and a trove of other Australian talent shall never be forgotten. R.I.P Gra Gra

You're welcome, Bobby and yes, these shows ARE great (for those of us able to watch through an "of their time" filter). I think what's up on my channel (that wasn't taken down by the copyright robots) is all I have, but I am currently going through a complete house re-arrange (you buy ONE giant-screen TV and the chain reaction's unbelievable!) and I may come across more hidden treasure. If so (and if allowed) I will upload. I also have a stack of stuff that I deleted a few years back when KZbin demonetized me (not enough ORIGINAL content - although YT and owners were making money off it - no income for me on those videos, but that's cool and expected). I was told I could try for monetization ONE MORE TIME but my channels' content had to be MAINLY original. I had some original content (and videos made from podcasts that the YT robots hadn't designated copyright-protected), so I began deleting heaps of stuff, great stuff, stuff people started to miss (including one really nice lady who just wanted all my clips from 'The Fleet's In' back). BUT, I didn't get around to re-applying. I like the idea of NOT being monetized. So I am slowly getting the stuff back up - there may be things you'll like in it. If you haven't subscribed to my channel, do so and turn on notifications so you don't miss anything. Cheers, thanks for visiting. I'm glad BabyFaceBren channel gave you some chuckles!

My mum and dad came to Australia in 1957 & 58 from Italy. I always remember my mum saying how "bello" she thought Bert was when young.

ha ha, my mum and dad used to talk differently of Bert. Dad worked in the Victorian Railways and in the late 50's, early 60's Bert MC'd several Victorian Railways balls and would, according to them, end up more drunk at the end of the night than the party-goers! It was no secret Bert had a problem with the grog in his youth, but he cleaned up his act, good on him, but it's funny how years later, my parents' opinion of Bert was "messy drunk". Luckily for Bert there was no social media back then.

@@BabyFaceBren It probably had more to do with my mum learning only the most basic English! Oh yes, that's right, he did have a problem with drink - and that's a nasty problem for the whole family. I can understand how it could happen but to get cleaned up, still be witty and quick and have a whole new career is a big achievement. I can imagine the arguments that people in entertainment could have!

ALL Mum and Dad ever TALKED ABOUT was "I.M.T." (...and after that, we'll get the dishes done in time for ... 'I.M.T.' " ... "I can't believe what Graham and Bert get away with on 'I.M.T.' ") I was NOT allowed to watch. TOO late. TOO much for "grown ups". "Rotten grown-ups. I wanna be a grown-up!" Now, I want to be a kid. Well, I did till Covid turned them all into little guinea pigs. One night Humphrey B. Bear was going to host "I.M.T'.... "That's a KIDS' show, you HAVE to let me watch!" (besides, I HAD to know, how could a BEAR who DIDN'T TALK, HOST A TALK SHOW?) It was AGREED. BRENDAN COULD WATCH 'I.M.T' - JUST THIS ONCE! Something happened to the TV that afternoon, I know not WHAT (I did suspect and still do, older b**ch sister and glass of water), but the TV caught fire and I didn't discover HOW (and IF - it was probably a stunt that ended after 5 minutes) Humphrey B. Bear hosted 'I.M.T.' More importantly, I still hadn't SEEN the show. So, NOT grown-up just YET. One night shortly after, on a mission more dangerous and sneaky than anything from Colditz, when I'd had ENOUGH of hearing my folks laughing in the lounge like IDIOTS, I sneaked INTO the hall and hid OUTSIDE THE LOUNGE ROOM DOOR, to find out what this 'I.M.T.' was all about. If you think "meh" of my mission, you cannot imagine the punishment that would have rained down on me had Mum or Dad walked through that door and caught me (NO TV for a fortnight, at least) and if you think "pish, you would just run off when you heard them coming"... NO! The door, well doors (sliding) from hall into lounge (closest to my bedroom) were GLASS PANELED! I didn't stand outside them, I LAY ON THE FLOOR BESIDE THEM flattening my form BELOW GLASS LEVEL! Mission accomplished! But I didn't learn anything more about 'I.M.T'. It was just the same thing I heard from the bedroom - Mum and Dad (and Gra-Gra's studio audience) laughing uncontrollably. Just a lot LOUDER.

I don’t know when this was filmed but I’m from 2023 and the David statue is still causing controversy as a principal of a school in Florida was forced to resign after an image of the David statue was shown as the parents considered it to be Pornographic! The principal has been invited to Florence by the owner of the museum where the David statue is.
@BabyFaceBren
@BabyFaceBren Жыл бұрын
ha ha that's great. Though I agree with parents who would rather their ten-year-olds didn't look at pictures of gay sex, or any for that matter, I'm surprised to hear the statue is still offensive to some after 520-odd years. Maybe they'd be happier if it were swapped with the Venus de Milo. She seems 'armless. I saw that limbless lady at the Louvre, but as I only had a lunchtime in Florence, I didn't get to see the original David, just the copy in the Galleria, which was a hundred years old by then and I knew I'd guaranteed a return to Florence by rubbing a swine's snout, so I simply strolled the streets seeing sights, perambulating pontes and tasting truffles for the first time. I'm hoping to get back to Europe next year, to see what I didn't in 2016, such as the top of the Eiffel and the original Dave, even though back then the tour guide said "Why bother? It looks just as the same as the one in the Galleria." So does the one on my beach towel, but I'd still like to see it.

This is classic Australian television at its best. I mean whatever happened to the good ol days of variety shows? Since the 2010s commercial FTA networks continue producing too much reality garbage (MAFS, The block, love island, Celeb apprentice, big brother, I’m a celeb, bachelor, masked singer, holey moley and snack masters)

Without you, I'm nothin'. Without you, I'm nowhere. Without you, my life is stormy. And old pal I've got no doubt - without you here fighting for me, they're gonna count me out. Without you all my kicks are gone. Without you, man I can't go on. The moon won't shine. And the day won't dawn. Without who? Without you, I'm zero. Without you, I'm minus. Without you there is no tomorrow. Without you, cruel world goodbye. When I've got bitter tears and sorrow, I think I'm gonna cry. Without you lover, I'm the least. Without you beauty, I'm the beast. I'm dead. He's gone. I'm going (?) Deceased. Without you. Without you. etc. etc.
