Okay I have to say this. I'm Korean, and I see a few comments talking about how normal it is for men in Korea to put makeup on. I admit that we might have more men who care about their looks than other countries, but most of us don't put makeup on when we go out. The magazines just happen to select people who care a lot about the looks. Typical men don't even put lotion on after washing, and literally, my friends use one body wash for everything. I see so many people, even some of my friends, who come to Korea with these expectations and stereotypes they built from the media, and go back disappointed

Like he takes care of his skin seriously. I envy his dedication to take care of his skin given he is an Idol but he just go that extra mile. oh the same thing happens to me with this man, I never know what my favorite look is about him, this is why I have filled the memories of my devices with his photos and gifts hahaha but I also have to admit that Jimin is attractive to me even without any drop of makeup, is that he is so damn perfect that he can wear and play with whatever he wants, his face is the favorite of many plastic surgeons because he brings together the beauty and charm of both the East and the West naturally and his jaw, lips and eyes uff crazy, ah could be talking about him all day long and more. I love the way Jimin always gives the metaphorical finger to those who criticise his style. Like when they tell him his shirts are revealing and he proceeds to wear the even more often. Males wearing Makeup and clothes without gender is very normal in korea just look at seoul fashion week, but in some places like busan (where jimin and jk are from) it still has that macho culture so you might be made fun of...i think kpop tends to take the fashion and makeup an extra step then what your average korean male would wear but it's still very normal for makeup and skincare to be done by males Edit:also in the very first clip and a few other clips jimin wasn't wearing makeup just doing skincare

Jimin's stunning :) BUT apart from very few exceptions, i don't think male kpop artists wear bold makeup to advocate smthing like activists, otherwise they'd wear bold makeup offstage too, which isn't the case. I bet they enjoy that makeup makes them look good but it's more like just part of their stage look & they don't have much of a say abt it. At some point it just became smthing usual in kpop & it's the MUA who make suggestions & the agency validates them or ask changes
