I worked on a reality show with a reality star who did things intentionally to look dumber. I remember her "accidentally" running into a "pull" door that she tried to push. She had already been through the door and thought it would be funny. These reality stars tend not to be particularly bright, but they often play up the dumb because it's more interesting and humorous. It's sort of like how Donald Trump isn't actually the sharp businessman he played on TV. (I'm American, but I did get to work on a crossover episode with TOWIE in Essex a few years back. Also shot at London Fashion Week, ITV, BBC radio, and in a South London pub where an ex-boxer tried to fight me. It was an experience.)
