Say it with me, NEGATIVE SHINE! 😂 I recently placed my first Olive Ave order 100% because of you. They always looked a bit dull to me, but seeing you swatch them in collections and also comparisons with other brands changed my mind. I did a fall bundle of Scintillate, Pisces, Sequoia, Sumac and Ginger, and also purchased MOTN, Raindrop and Artie. They are all gorgeous! Ginger surprised me the most because it is an orange that actually flatters my cool toned pink undertone skin-never thought I’d see the day 😆 Totally spaced getting Lisa which I really want, but I’m likely going to do an order when the winter collection drops so I’ll just pop it in there. Thank you so much for these videos! I really appreciate that you include base/top coats etc. because I am always on the hunt for them and good nail care products and BF is a good time to try them out while they’re discounted.🙏🏽👑❤️

I love Olive Ave Polish! My favorite from them might be Borealis? I just love their quality and Walker is great. That’s funny that you said you never use Flora as a topper because that’s only how I’ve used it, and have never tried to build it up on its own, but I’ll try that next! I love the OAP formula! But lately I've been craving fun, sparkly finishes so I've neglected this brand 🥲 I'm sure it'll come back into rotation, with winter seasonal wearing!

Love olive ave, their brushes are great I agree. I also love the base coat, it is my go to, I've rebought it several times. I love OA in general but my top favorites are peony, elwell, cloudy, flora and cornflower. ❤

I am so glad I found Olive Ave. through you! Walker makes my most fav creme formula ever!!! And you are spot on about her brush. It is perfection!!!! So hard to pick favs for me, but I think my fav 2 collections have been the Sunset Collection and the Fall ‘22 Pigment Collection. Both of those collections are just so gorgeous!!!

ahh yay that makes me so happy!! 🥹 her cremes really are so flawless 🤤 and right! her brush is absolute perfection, I swear its mess free when i’m not painting on camera 🤣 and ooo those are such great favs!! even though i wasn’t in lovee with Sunset, it did have some absolutely beautiful colors, so so rich! and yes last years Pigment was one of my favs too, along with last year’s spring! I generally love Walker’s color stories, she’s so great at curating colors 😍

If you want a colour descriptor for Zinc (the grey blue leaning green) - eucalyptus - it's a type of tree with leaves that colour.

I have all those shimmers, they are gorgeous and Flora works amazing as a topper. Zinc is gorgeous but it's semi-retired now 😢. I'm definitely getting MOTN. Olive ave's formula is amazing

I love your picks! I only have two Olive Ave shades: Sequoia and Sienna, but I've always loved Middle of then Night, Pebble, and Raindrop after seeing them on your channel. They are such beautiful polishes with great formulas. It's hard to decide what to buy during this Black Friday's sales as everything looks gorgeous! TFS!

Uugghhh these are all so pretty!!!! I love that matte topcoat too!! I have the HT one and it’s great. I’ve put the matte top coat over my normal topcoat and find that it lasts as long as my normal manicures. Raindrop….I’m really contemplating picking that one up.

They really are super pretty colors 😍😍 and omg yes you’re a genius for mentioning, I always forget about using a QDTC before Matte to make it last longer!! 🙌🏼 I’m glad the HT one is a true matte too, I think so far the only not fully matte topcoats I’ve tried are Cirque & obscure indie brands that I don’t even remember 🤣 and omg not to enable…. But Raindrop is like REALLY pretty lol 🤩🌧️✨

I would wear the base coat on its own! So pretty! I did not know matte nails chip faster! Thank you for that info. I may be an enabler but I would definitely get a back up of Happy. I don’t go for creams much but MOTN and Zinc are really gorgeous! Calla-Lily (😮‍💨) Lisa (😮😮) Sumac, Flora (😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨) Raindrop, Sequoia (😮‍💨) are my favorites. I think I have to get Flora and Calla-Lily, they are killing me!❤

yes its really a flattering base coat!! i have it on during the video and I think it looks even nicer on my right hand that is less stained lol 😅 and ahh I know, I need to double check my collection for other pastel yellows but honestly the formula is worth grabbing a second bottle! 💛 I’m so glad you liked MOTN and Zinc too, they’re so so stunning! i feel bad i forgot Zinc was already retired 😓💔 but yay so so happy you love Calla Lily and Flora!! they’re such beautiful and dainty shimmers 🥹🧚✨

This brand has definitely found a unique niche in this (I hate to say it) over-saturated Indie nail polish world. What I mean by that is, some of the brands have started to look too similar to me in their releases; everyone seems to be on the same bandwagon of purple or green shimmery magnetic reflective multichrome etc. formulas. My brain can't handle the overload, so Olive Ave for sure offers consumers a palate/palette cleanser with the subdued cremes and grayed-out colors.

That’s totally valid! We do see a lot of literal repeats across different brands 😅 and yes that’s definitely a great way to put OAP’s solid line of staple shades, as palette cleansers among all the holo sparkle and magnetic flakie bombs! They really feel like such reliable shades to turn to. I do kind of wish we’d get a littleee more sparkle though, like I would love a few more shades like Raindrop, or even Coastal from this past summer! 🙈 either way I’m excited to see what she has planned for this winter!

Great choices. I have a lot of these! My all time favorite is Slater but I love all of my OA polishes. The quick dry topcoat luckily works well for me. You’ve got me considering MOTN and Sumac but I’m also considering waiting to see the winter collection. I picked up Gaze and Sunshine after watching your videos. Love Zinc and sorry to see that one retiring. A good reminder to pick up what you want as soon as possible.

Actually yes! I don’t have this shade anymore but I destashed it because it ended up being SO similar to Zinc, look up Sea Glass Olive from Terra Beauty Bars! It might just be a smidgeee darker but the closest color I’ve come across !

you’re so welcome, so glad you found it helpful and how exciting you made your first order!! 🥳🥳 what shades did you get? and honestly I think the best products for my nails have been the Cuticle Buddy cuticle oils from shopNBM and lately OPI’s Nail Envy, along with keeping them painted & protected as much as possible esp during cleaning/cooking etc. my right hand is usually worse bc i’m always prioritizing taking care of my left 🙈 I have a video from a few months ago going over my Nail Care + Essentials with all of my favorite products! Nail Envy is a new addition and I’ve been loving it so far!
