You really knocked it out of the park with this one. This is one of the best videos I have seen on the Ozarks in general, not just overlanding. The production values are impressive, and I can only imagine how many hours of editing this took. This video is a great example of my thoughts when I bought my Jeep several years back: it would be a great supplement to my other hobby, photography. You took it to another level! I will be sharing this with friends who ask why we are moving to Arkansas/The Ozarks. Nothing could explain it better than this video, and it makes us want to get out there as soon as possible.

Matt, a few of us are planning to do the ooat starting the 26th.. looking like rain the 4/5 days prior to starting our trip, however no rain during. Do you think it will be do-able after that many days of rain or should I start planning an alternative? Its a full day drive for us to get there is why I ask.

That will depend on how much rain we get. It’s been super dry here so it will take a ton of rain to fill the streams up to difficult levels. I wouldn’t worry about it.

If anyone makes a Funtreks style Ozarks book I will 100% buy it. This is like a 1/3 of distance of the drive to the Rockies for me and there is plenty to do but it is so much less documented than either the Rockies or Appalachia.

I’ve considered it but it’s very risky since we don’t have well named trails like out west. It’s just a bunch of forest service roads that we piece together and the risk of some getting shut down and making the book obsolete is pretty high.
