To put how low budget this movie was in to perspective; when the two guys that the three mummies were meeting with in the sewer end up dead on the floor you can see clear as day that the actor laying on the ground to the left was wearing a pair of white tube socks with his period piece dress shoes and slacks lol. I love the Puppet Master franchise, and I am a man who owns no socks other than white over the calf tube socks and proudly wears them with any outfit, but I’ve always thought that was hilarious.

Not sure why they tinted the stock footage blue. Unless it came that way. Supposedly the footage of the train was originally second unit footage filmed for PUPPET WARS: CURSE OF THE PUPPET MASTER. The first of a trilogy that was never produced.

ToylandChairman666 I think sometimes filmmakers tint stock footage to disguise the fact that it wasn’t made on the same kind of film, or in the same era. (For example, in the MST3K episode “Castle of Fu Manchu”, the ship sinking footage at the beginning was tinted blue to cover up the fact that it was originally in black and white!)

I'm reading his book "The Disaster Artist" right now and getting this film was actually a really big deal for him. He'd just been an extra in a couple of things, most prominently a 'featured extra' in the funeral scene in Patch Adams. He used that to bullshit his way to a good agency (by saying that he was friends with the casting director) and once he had a headshot with the agency watermark basically spammed it out to every casting director who's contact details he could get ahold of. At that point he didn't even have any footage of himself to give out, so being the lead in a straight to video B horror filmed in Romania was a genuine step up.
