Let's be real here. Other finalist may have better voice or experiences but the real reason Carter won is because his emotion really got through to us. I mean I'm from Malaysia and I wasn't able to vote but I make an effort to vote Carter because I really felt his emotion especially on his performance on You Says and Rainbow Connection. I love Desz and John's performance but this kid right here really stole my heart. I didn't felt anything with John's fix you cause i felt its only for a show but that song actually really an emotional song but no emotion when John is singing it but Carter's performance was dedicated to his brother and it really touches me. Congratulations Carter. You deserved to win this competition no matter what people say about how other contestants was robbed.

The best singers or artist rarely win these type of shows. It's all about image. As soon as I saw him sing I knew he would win. It's the same reason why country musicians stars do better on this show than most others. The viewing demographics of this show dictate who wins most of the time. Not talent.

I thought Jim flopped hard in the finale because it was clear that the producers wanted him out by giving him these weird song choices that doesn't suit his voice. He doesn't sound country at all but sounds like a christian artist. If he had sang Mary Did You Know or Go Rest High On That Mountain then he would have won. Those are the songs that fits him. Not Joe Cocker or diva songs like Mariah Carey Without You. If You sing that Joe Cocker song you won't win. That's what happened to Kyla.

Two heartfelt songs I think he won with and they were: You say and Rainbow Connection. He sang all his songs wonderfully, but I would say that these two songs clinched it. Some much fantastic talent this year... I know he is humbled by it all too. Merry Christmas to All. and To All.... A Great Career!@! My son is getting married and yeah, with so many obstacles this year with this horrible virus, life goes on. And we PREVAIL. Thanks for turning for him.....
