I’ve had carbon for about a year now and it’s great. I just picked up ombré a couple weeks ago and was blown away. They both smell very similar but ombré just has a fresher and stronger leathery smell.

Beautiful fragrance. This is class and freshness in a bottle. If you like wearing polos, maybe slicking your hair back, leather jackets, or a special date night out. Best fragrance that defines all of that. This combines elegancy and fresh!

i am wearing this while watching this. Wow, it is great leather, violet, rosy & raspberries scent. I love it, longevity is remarkable & for thirty something dollars, its a very "sprayable-at-will" juice **giggles**

I bought this and was immediately turned off. Something wasn't right. I came back to it 3 months or so later and was like wow this is incredible. I don't know about this maceration thing but I now love this fragrance. It's not exactly the same as OG but is sweet with slight leather. It's more aquatic sweet but amazing

@@trinivagrant Is it necessary to spray like ten times and then leave the bottle complete alone for about two month, or will it also macerate by it self even if one use it sparsely for two month? If that makes sense?

@@MacGyv3r Honestly not sure, I've read people say spray it a few times and then spray it again upside down and put in a drawer for 2 months. I probably only sprayed in like 5 times and let it sit for 3 months and it changed. But I don't have any personal formula

I'm with you. I have owned this for a long time and can't see myself getting the og. If you aren't into leather or want to try a serious leather scent this one is great. Worst case scenario is you don't like it, which is fine since you didn't pay too much for it

I ordered this from fragrancex and I have to say- my favorite leather fragrance is PDM godolphin. Ombre leather is a close second. Was expecting this to smell like ombre leather and was PLEASANTLY surprised that, to my nose, it smells more like a clone of PDM Godolphin than Ombre leather. I am 💯 stoked I just LOVE the smell of this fragrance.

Just food for thought, the toscano leather by alhambra smells like 99% of my sample of PDM Godolphin. Like so close in the opening it’s hard to discern from the two. Might be a good pick for you to keep your godolphin going strong 👍🏻

I've had rate carbon for just under a year now. I really like it and I can't overstate how good it smells in that ambery dry down. It really matures into a marvelous scent.

Try Maison Alhambra Amber and Leather. It smells nice and last awhile too. This is a cheapy but goodie cologne. I also have Rare Carbon.. very nice 👍. I would love if you compared both.

@@angelalvarez7257 That's a hold one.🤔. If I had to choose between the two.. I would choose Rare Carbon. It's less synthetic than Maison Alhambra. But Maison Alhambra is not as sweet as Rare Carbon. They both last a long time on skin and on clothes. Can't go wrong with either one.

Have you ever tried Ben Sherman Signature? I’ve seen other channels talk about it smelling like ombré leather and I picked up a 50ml from Burlington for like 13 bucks

Watched this review when it first came out. Been meaning to buy Rare Carbon finally just pulled the trigger. Got a good deal out of season. In the Uk it sells for £50-£70 normally. Which stopped me buying it. My wife not a big leather fan alas it’s hard to part with the money for the OG. I was rocking Ben Sherman signature which is a very wearable leather heavy fragrance for £15. I am hoping there is a quality difference in Rare Carbon. The way the British summer is at present. I won’t have a problem wearing Rare Carbon. My Jimmy Choo Man Ice is desperate to get out of the atomiser with some sunny weather.

I'm with you Ali. I sprayed TF Ombre Leather on the back of my hand then went home and sprayed Lattafa's Velvet Oud on the back of the other. I'd love to see what Ross' nose thinks of Velvet Oud because I couldn't tell them apart.

For 36 USD it’s a fantastic fragrance. It’s not as smooth as Ombre Leather but not as expensive either. In the final dry down it’s extremely oudy on my skin but I really enjoy the leather/ oud blend. Performance is outstanding. I still smell it the next morning.

@Nick Brackett I totally agree with you. I have Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum and it is a great smelling fragrance. You can't go wrong with it at all. Except for the price. 😆 It is PRICEY. I have Rare Carbon and Maison Alhambra Amber and Leather. Both are great clones to Ombre Leather. Maybe 85-90% closeness. They both last a long time on my skin and clothes. They both deliver that "leather"smell. Two great cheap fragrances. 🔥👍💪

Yes I got it. It’s good, about 95% Ombré leather. Clones are getting so good now it’s almost not worth getting the real one.

Alright Ross I just ordered this just now real time see if your !00% stays intact for recommendations. So far my taste has mirrored yours. Which is surprising im new to this hobby of collecting fragrances and still learning what I like. I know to keep my wife off my ass the middle eastern fragrances go very better than Demarly ect. its similar to tf ombre leather, i personally prefer tf ombre leather as its less sweet for me, rare carbon is 30 percent more sweet in my opinion, i also think the tf just smells more expensive. hey if you want a tf ombre leather on a budget this is 75 percent similar, id go for it. ps. the leather in rare carbon is easier to the nose, its less prominent for me.

It's been awhile since smelled the original. But follows the same vibe with less leather and bit more aquatic at least to my nose. But it's really well done so if you like the OG then you should like this. I didn't like it at first though and may have to sit like mine did. I don't know why that is as some people say maceration is fake but something definitely changed

Bought rare carbon because of you and i am completely satisfied. to my nose it has a similarity of 80%-85% when you first spray it. once it dries down it goes up to 90%. it will be very hard to tell the difference for an untrained nose. thth 10% difference is only in the lack of richness and smoothness that TFOL has. this is expected because of the price diference, overall Rare Carbon is an excelent inspiration of ombre leather. I can see why you choose not to get the original, ther is no need scent wise

@F U Afnan Supremacy line and Rare Carbon line are in two separate lanes. Like night and day. Afnan Supremacy Silver is wack imo. Only last for an hour tops. Supremacy Silver Not Only Intense.. now that's another story. It is a beast. It last 9+ hours on my skin and days on clothes. One of my top 10 fragrances. Let's switch over to Rare Carbon.. it resembles Tom Ford Ombre Leather. Maybe 85-90 closeness.. it last a long time on my skin and days on clothes. A great leather fragrance. Hopefully that helps!!

@@russkelly9257 I have been breaking my pockets over these Middle Eastern fragrances. 😂. I have Rasasi Hawas. The new batch (6/2022). It has a blue-ish color and not the purple-ish color as the older batches. My Rasasi Hawas bottle is a beast. No lie!! It performs and project like crazy. It last on my skin up to 9 hours and you can still smell it faintly after the 9 hour mark. It last forever on clothes. Be careful toward the number of sprays. You only need 3 sprays. This fragrance can easy choke you and anyone close to you out!! You have been warned!! 😂

They both last a long time on my skin and days. I am a fan of both fragrances. I also have Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum. Its a beast.
