You are totally right, I believe those parchment liners have really saved me many many times from cake catastrophes. Thank God for whomever invented them. I love baking and ingredients are too expensive to have a cake fall apart on you or even stick to the bottom of your pans…

Made this cake for a 40th birthday party (in a 11 x 17 pan with half chocolate and half vanilla cake). It was the most moist vanilla cake I ever had. Everyone loved it. Another keeper!

Sam, I. Love this one bowl recipe. My mom used to bake yellow cakes. But she'd divide the batter and color half pink, and half green. With the chocolate frosting so pretty! As soon as we get a working oven, I will try this recipe. B.T. W. I love your gorgeous dress! ❤️

Is it OK to leave the batter out, with a cover on, while the two cakes bake and then put the third layer in after they're both done? I often use vegetable oil in this cake, which primarily is soybean oil. I’ve never had a problem with it or had anyone complain of the taste so you should be just fine ☺️

I have never made a cake in my life. I like cake, but since it is only me I would need a reason to make one for someone else. And my step daughter makes amazing designer cakes that are out of this world. But she lives 600 miles away. That is a bit of an issue. lol I basically watched this cause it's you and I know it helps, just like these comments help. 😀
