In this video I will talk about The Best Pals to have in your Base in Palworld, specifically for the Feybreak Update! This includes both old pals and new pals introduced in Feybreak! This video will cover what I concider to be "perfect" stats, and other alternatives based on different style of gameplay. Website mentioned in video: paldb.cc/en/

btw theres a better version of workaholic as a new rainbow trait "heart of the immovable king"
@ghostforce2376Күн бұрын
Did that come out this update or last big one? Or been in the game?
@cytosine6870Күн бұрын
@ghostforce2376 it was just added in Feybreak. Also added in Feybreak are two new base items, one that decreases sanity lost and one that increases workspeed. I think it might be worth testing if using the monitoring stand for the harder work is worth it now

A few things to correct in this vdeo -Any pal can have Lv 5 Work Suitability. This was changed in Feybreak. Though it is something more late game, so you will move from using your favorites, to the highest base suitabilities, and back to your favorites once you reach that late game point. -(Disregard this correction, I misheard the video) If you want to use Vampiric or Nocturnal you remove Serious not Work Slave. this is because Serious gives 20% Work Speed while Work Slave gives 30% Work Speed. -At the level in which you would be perfecting base Pals like this. Sanity and Hunger would no longer be an issue. So you only care about Pals acting as a refrigerator having these stats focused on. That is due to Work Speed not affecting them and having Santiy and Hunger traits (*) allws for them to remain stationary cooling for longer periods of time before they need to go eat. Note1: While the benefits of Lullu and Prunelia were mentioned what wasn't was that these partner skills do stack, and I believe the community came to the consensus that 3 Lullu was more then enough before it started to get out of hand. Prunelia probably doesn't have that same issue, but I can imagine her filling up your storage far to quickly. Note2: When it comes to cooling there are two separate path that have to be taken when attempting to min-max. My prior mention of Refrigerating being one of them in which Work Speed will not impact their job, meaning you want to go for Hunger and Sanity traits. While other application that aligns with the work suitabilities name of cooling is impacted by work speed (**). So two differently built Pals will be needed to handle these two jobs. Note3: Transport is probably the most valuable secondary Work Suitability. *Specifically Mastery of Fasting, Heart of the Immovable King, Diet Lover, and then Workaholic. Vampiric, or Nocturnal depending on if you do night play. **Specifically the Refrigerated Crusher

A lengthy reply so I'll reply to each "-" and each note. - "Any pal can have Lv 5 Work Suitability..." Yes, yes it can. And I am aware of this, but did not include this in the video because if you're at the point where you're doing that, you're at the very endgame where you do not need a guide to tell you what to do. The Books of Labor to increase your Work Suitability by +1 has an incredibly low drop chance, and using this to optamize all the pals in your base is not a viable strategy for regular players. They have a below 5% drop chance from the Golden Chest at the Oil Rig which has a 30min respawn timer, aswell as a supposed 1% chance to drop from Supply Chests. if we assume you get a 10% chance of getting one of these every half hour, that is a generous assumption and likely above average. That brings you to 1 book of labor increase every 5 hours. You can have 10 bases, and 25 pals per base. If each pal needs ONE of these books, thats 250 books of labor, which would take you on average with the numbers above 1250 hours to get. Now, each book is consumed on use, and if you have a Pal with Mining level 2 you want to get to Mining Level 5, that requires 3 books, so some pals might use way more than 1 book of work suitability increase if you're really trying to optimize. If we assume 2 books per pal, and 250 pals due to 10 bases and 25 per base, that would be 2500 hours spent getting these books. Which is why I did not include it as it is not realistic to a regular person not using mods. Better to build your base around the pal's current work suitability levels, and then if you find some of the Work Suitability increase-books, you can upgrade a pal or two in addition to the setup you already have. But basing your setup around these books is stupid for once again a regular player not "cheating" or using mods. - "-If you want to use Vampiric or Nocturnal you remove Serious not Work Slave." Answer: I already said that, go to 2:53 Note 1 is fair and I don't have much to add. Note 2 is fair and I don't have much to add Note 3 I already said the same thing at 1:15 using different words

@@SolheimGaming 1. While true, It is still information that they should have. Which is why I phrased in the way I did. They also come from any of the dungeon. So a bit more plentiful then you think. 2. Fair, I definitely misheard that.

With the New Applied Work Suitability Techniques that has came with the Feybreak Update i more focused on the "2nd" job they gonna have in my Base so there for i use Faleris for Kindling And Transporting Faleris Aqua for Watering And Transporting Lullu, Shroomer ,Shroomer noct and Prunelia for Planting, Gathering and Medicine Production Helzephyr Lux for Generating Electricity And Transporting Nitemary for Handiwork And Transporting Bastigor for Lumbering and Mining "But only to clear respawning notes" and then a cople Jolthog Cryst for Cooling my Refrigerators and Cold Food Box all have bin giving a Work Suitability Techniques books so they work skills are at lvl 5 after condensing and they almost all have the same Passives Remarkable Craftsmanship, Artisan, Work Slave and then i picked Swift becuase i mostly dont care for night BUT i will say that my Jolthog Cryst has Vampiric, Heart of the Immovable King, Mastery of Fasting and Swift so they stay on the thing they need to cool

I've noticed the best cooling and transport jobs are for huge pals! I don't have the room for huge cooler/transport pals in my base nor the room in my palbox to breed them. i wish the flying pals had more in transport tbh, it makes more sense.

A few interesting things to consider, lucky gives a few bonuses that are not instantly visible or understood, increasing the work speed/and stats is there but it also helps your pals productivity in other ways like crit chance, rare drops, and special item drops. For example if you were to have a pal with lucky and its attack is max otherwise its much more likely to crit when it attacks, or if it is in the farm its more likely to produce either higher numbers or higher quality or both for the items it produces. Then there is another trait too the ability where it's possible for any pal that has it too drop something that is special from that pal under the correct circumstances, for example if the pal has a blueprint that they drop when captured or butchered they are more likely to drop it without needing to be killed.

I looked this up and I can not find anything about Lucky having the hidden things you mentioned. Where did you read about that and did you see a video of it being tested?
@jedstanaland2897Күн бұрын
@FinalHero1 I personally tested this with the following pals, Nox, Vixi, Mau, Maucryst, Tombat, and Sooter. I tested through save editing by making nearly identical copies of each pal. Five days of in game time were used, ten pals of each of those listed above. Rain syndicate tower boss was the only enemy tested against. Level, stats, and concentration level were all identical. The only difference was the presence of lucky or the 4th highest stat ability for either working or attacking not both ever elemental damage was ignored. This could be a good example of crit chance only or a case of bias but it doesn't seem so. I tested the lucky pals completely separately from each other and alone in their own isolated groups no other pals were tested. I understand that I might have skewed the results by accident but on average the lucky variation pals I tested were about 25% better than normal pals, and those with both lucky variation and lucky ability about 30% better, those with only lucky ability were around 20% better. Alpha/ boss variations were not tested and breeding wasn't tested for nore was ability position which may play a role but it isn't something that I tested for. Also it doesn't seem to be universal across all pals or it may simply be more useful on certain pals than others. For example Nox seems to have basically zero benefits from lucky ability while Vixi, Mau, and Maucryst seem to receive either the best or close to the best benefits. I was able to receive approximately 20 ultra spheres and 50k in coins from the Vixi/ Mau/ Maucryst. The production of Tombat/ Sooter was almost doubled. The number of critical hits for each seems to have increased by a three to one ratio including Nox. I only got a total of ten pal spheres above Hyper during the entire testing period and they seemed to be equally dispersed between the different testing variables. This said I have this information on a personal spreadsheet that I built myself and even with this testing it could easily be a case of crit chance increase that simply isn't obvious or there may be something else that I couldn't account for. The pals were all tested in the same base and time of day.

A Yakumo would be beneficial for getting your hands on passives your looking for via catching pals with Yakumo out, so far in my experience the only two that have not worked out are Lucky and Legend.
@yinyangdragonxКүн бұрын
unfortunately both Legend and Lucky must already be on the pal to get it so good boi and gurl Yakumo won't get it for you it is either breed it on it or catch one

Yes it does but it takes hundreds of hours to grind enough books, if not even thousands of hours, unless you use a mod.

Is there any point to cooling? When a pal eats from the feeding box the timer on the food stack resets so the loss rate is minimal at worst. Food inside to guild box have their timers stop entirely so the combat food can go in there. Cakes, the thing we actually worry about, their timers stop when in breeding pen. Even further back food still in the cooking utilities do not have timers either so you could prep cookers for grab and go. Edit: I do however appreciate the video btw this was probably just a rant over a mechanic I think is incorrectly implemented.

How would Depresso's partner skill Caffeine Inoculation work with level 5 mining from the new books? Also in the very endgame wouldn't pals with better passive abilities (Floral Boost - Lullu, Prayer for Abundant Harvest - Prunelia, Swooshy Spores - Shroomer Noct), and dark pals with good base Work Suitability synergy and movement speed be the best options?

SELYNE is a better option than Anubis for Handiwork and transporting. With maxed work speed traits and maxed work speed souls, the work speed is 474. It’s better than Anubis AND is intrinsically nocturnal
@thomasquirk8797Күн бұрын
Anubis still has 1 thing that selyne doesn't have, being a pretty noticeable movement speed difference. So selyne may be a bit faster in handicraft, but overall I'm pretty sure both at lvl5 transport would have anubis on top if you're a player who sleeps most nights
