I've had two of their PCs in the past - you are right on every count. 1) The best of the best, and 2) you pay for it. I did decide to build my current PC due to their cost, but my previous one is still in use - by my wife - some 10 years later.

Hey @Robeytech - glad to see this review. I was lucky enough to work for Kelt at Falcon NW back in the early-ish days (late 90's, early 2000's). I took a great amount of pride in being able to build and craft these things to the very highest standard. Some of my most favorite time in my entire career has been doing the work at FNW. Good times! Glad to see the sprit is still kicking ass!

I tried to copy their cable management for my personal build with cable extensions, I got close but couldn't get it as perfect as them. Falcon Northwest has always been a dream when I started building PCs a over a decade ago. Remember those days when they used Silverstone cases...timeless cases!

I have been buying their computers for about 20 years. I think I am on my fifth computer from them. I have never had problems with them until my current one...and they fixed it free of charge I think I just had to cover shipping. Luckily the issue I faced hit me at the 2 year 11 month mark and it was still covered by their 3 year warranty. When I got it back from them it was like brand new again the cleaned every speck of dust off the inside and outside of the machine. This machine is now toward the end of its life as I do not make any upgrades. I am currently pricing a new one as its age is finally catching up and the games do not look as good at they should or the videos I see on youtube. In the past 2 times I tried to save some money and switch to a different builder I tried Ibuypower and Alienware both machines I returned after having issues right out of the box.

It's waaayyyyyyy more than $1000. lol You could get a $90 case(4000D airflow) while this guy claims this one is $1500. I priced out the same build for about $2500 total. That's almost 1/3 the price of this. The custom cables are completely unnecessary. I feel like the hyped aspects of this company are completely nonsense. I'd never spend $6500 for a pc that didn't even have the flagship gpu of the generation. Absolutely ridiculous.

The whole build is impressive… …only problem is that somebody who wants that bottom rear intake fan for that GPU but also wants to add more cards to the desktop will have to get a little creative; trying to keep just one of these features impedes the other one. Fan included in stock, it’s suitable for gaming, but not streaming unless the feed is doubled or you use a Thunderbolt enclosure…
@robeytech
@robeytech 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah but external capture cards seem to be the more stable way to go, I am sure you are right there are folks who are for sure going to need expansions, just not sure how mainstream that is.
@djtechno95

@@robeytech I've just looked up how to turn PCI-E slots into an 80mm fan and according to a US-only Newegg link, Sliger had this technology in the pocket, albeit for server rack configurations (look up Sliger IOCV 180A PCI slot case cooler). So Falcon might've been inspired to adapt this slot-to-fan method towards rear air intake for the GPU, but I think there might be a way to adapt this for current and future horizontal GPU configs in larger cases for not only additional air intake for the GPU, but also taking advantage of the empty vertical GPU slot for expansion from one or two of the remaining non-GPU slots on the motherboard. Of course the GPU air intake addition will require sticking the Sliger fan gadget on the bottom horizontal slot covers under the GPU, but if somebody wants to add more capture cards to the system (without using Thunderbolt), they'll need to get one 90-degree PCI-E riser cable for each non-GPU slot and align the cards so they'll slot into each half of the vertical slot. Only problem for motherboards with PCI-E 5.0 GPU slot and only one PCI-E 4.0 x4 slot is that I don't know if there are or will ever be special riser cables that will split the slot from PCI-E 4.0 x4 to dual PCI-E 3.0 x4 slots. And I highly doubt that the Talon case will even be large enough to fit even one slot. Maybe this needs further investigation?

I wanted to comment because I own a falcon Northwest talen I somewhat regret my purchase, but I am moving forward with a custom build on a custom made case because I could not find one anywhere on the market for my needs. It is the S 700 and it is no longer made by Salvo Studios but I got the last one and I’m having it modded for $1500 and to upgrade materials and some other things and this came at a good time because now I make $440 per day in oil and gas industry the one downfall of the falcon is video card support the cards are getting just too big and the difficulty in finding a founders card now or in the future will for the most part be impossible and water cooling I think will be in everyone’s future just because of the size that things are getting

It is certainly beautiful. However, the configurations that I just put together on their site were all well over $4000. Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I would classify this as a piece of art or a collector edition tier product. This rules me out as I just can't justify the money on a one of a kind item. Looks like a 100$ case with bad airflow with a small fan in the bad as a bandaid solution. I don't belive for a sec that the temps are same sorry with the panels off. That's just not possible. The cable management is nothing special and they had to do that weird bend with the 24 pin because somehow their top of the line case doesn't have a full motherboard tray. A lot of buzzwords in this "review" just to try to justify the insane price. RGB FANS IMPORTED FROM GERMANY wow that means absolutely nothing regarding their quality.
