It will be hard to duplicate perfection. from the paint/colors to the durability the new 3 3/4 are ok but they feel fragile and cheap compared to the antenna troopers from 2003-2006 hasbro is cutting corners and being cheap now a days

Starwars Fanboy I think I was like 7 at that time. I didn’t even see the movie in theaters, I watched it on a bootleg disc lol. But ROTS era toys are some of the greatest. But I really only just played with those toys as a kid. When I truly started Collecting, it was probably around 2008-2009. I was deep into The Legacy Collection and Clone Wars toylines. Back when Toys R Us would literally have a whole block of the store dedicated to Star Wars. Oh Dude do I miss that.

And maybe this is just my area but I still see so many force awakens figures that are years old. Nobody picked them up and they are still there. 50% of the tiny shelf space are all pegwarmers.

Starwars Fanboy Yeah, cause nobody wants that garbage. They should know by now what collectors want, not sequel trilogy poodoo, unless you’re giving me army builders. If you filled the pegs with super articulated stormies and other variants from those films, such as the vintage collection style versions they’ve done before, I’d probably go buy a few. But I’m not interested in a Rey or a Snoke or other crap like that. Collectors want Expanded Universe characters or army builders. That’s at least how I see it, so this is why those figures will Pegwarm for eternity and rightfully so. Hasbro’s punishment for disrespecting us, with not only a small selection but terrible variety. And even when you do get the occasional nice Vintage Collection waves released, they literally only have like three of each on the pegs. How is that enough for one Wal-Mart as an example? All it takes is for one person to go up in there and hoard all the small inventory they have and there’s none left for anybody. They never restock unless it’s a newer wave. Nothing like the old days. I remember a new wave coming every couple of months or just restocking the same figures if you weren’t able to catch them the first time. I miss the Evolutions Three-Packs, I miss the Comic Two-packs. I quite frankly miss the old days.

Never forget when I was in minor league baseball as a kid I got 2 RBI's and my father told me he'd buy me 1 clone for each RBI...we went and I got 1 shock trooper and 1 212th trooper..Loved the antenna attachment...I'm 26 and I still have em today in my school pencil box

Started re-collecting them again. So far I have over 20 super articulated 501st troopers, 501st arcs, 501st commanders & Airborne. TVC Obi-Wan, Anakin & Ahsoka, Rex, and Boba. I have several Tanks, ATTE’s, & Gunships coming in the mail, along with Droid Counterparts. I missed collecting a lot, and wanted to relive my childhood days.

David Felix Agreed. That’s another point I didn’t really bring up, the newer bodies are really slim, you’re right. The only ones I don’t mind the slim body types on are the Commander Fordo, Commander Neyo or the Phase 1 AOTC Trooper. The reason for that is because the helmets are pretty good. But other than those 3, definitely not my preference.

Completely disagree at 4:50, Dave Filoni adding the chips completely took out the impact of the clones as a useful narrative piece to convey the Jedi's blindness to the dark side, and the moral vacuousness of the Republic. Filoni made the Jedi and clone troopers too likable, something Lucas never intended them to be, and as a result the 'control chip' was inserted in and completely retconned all that was badass (and tragic) about the clone troopers. I ask you what's more tragic? Good guy G.I joes with dyed haircuts having to kill their Jedi commanders because "Duur chip told me to do it", OR an entire child slave army who have seen nothing but warfare since the womb, moulded into killing machines and genetically altered so far beyond human emotion, all in unison, choosing to murder men, women and children, at the drop of an order? The entire purpose of the clones for Sidious, was the kill Jedi to kickstart the Empire. The entire purpose of the clones for Lucas, was to show the viewer that the Empire had already begun, long before the Republic burned.

Sadly that will never happen by hasbro’s doing. But on the upside there are still ways to get ahold of them. There must be tens of thousands out there even as we speak. There’s actually eBay sellers who are 3D printing their own for cheap. I actually received an order for a 41-Man platoon a couple weeks back. Paid $6 per figure.

SimpleCloneTrooper Interesting choice and very creative customization for your Commander. I’d say my favorite battalion would have to be the 501st. I mean my favorite color is blue so it kind of comes naturally I guess. I’m also a big fan of the 212th and even the Shock Troopers. After The Clone Wars I gained a higher level of attraction towards the Shocks because I like the idea of them being like the prison guards and or the military police. I might even prefer them to the 501st on occasion.

I still own some of the Antenna molds with a few missing their hands. I gotta say they're the best 3.75' Clone Trooper Molds that Hasbro has ever done. If only hasbro could revisit this mold and give it some upgrades.

I don’t know if you know the answer to this but I figured I’d asked because you’re intimately knowledgeable with this stuff. Why are all the belts in every clone trooper action figure upside down? Unless you’re buying a highly detailed 6-inch figure anything at 3.75 has the belt flipped. I always noticed it when I was a kid and never found an answer

Nico Martinez To be honest, I haven’t noticed that detail, but it’s not surprising to me. The answer is simple though. Hasbro isn’t the best when it comes to getting details exactly right. It’s unclear exactly why they allow such things to occur, but I suspect it’s partly due to ignorance and partially related to cost. In this instance, I’m betting they didn’t even notice the belt was upside down, or by the time they did, they had produced tens of thousands of these 3 inchers. So there was no turning back. The 6 Inch lines are the closest you’ll ever see that company doing things mostly correct. However, they still screw up occasionally, such as the newest black series 6 inch Commander Bly. As they didn’t include the screen accurate paint deco on the helmet, specifically speaking, the stripe that goes from the top, front of the helmet to the bottom. Half of it is clearly missing on the first release of that figure. It even shows the accurate stripe on the artwork of the box, as seen in the film. But they apparently corrected this error with further re-releases, that now include the stripe. P.S. I’m going to make reference to this belt situation in my next clone action figure video. I’ll be sure to mention you.

Quick draw Clone gets some crap, it's not great looking, but it has its uses...like being able to sit. #41, good luck with that. His joints will tear or get loose. The AT-TE tank gunner has those hips but feels like he's made out of soap. The jet pack clone mold can also sit, but has very limited arm movement. TVC Phase II's can sit...but awkwardly.

I recently purchased 4 phase two clone troopers, they are not the quick draw variant, they are more similar to the antenna mold but with no antenna or battle damage. I was curious to know what variation it is? great video btw keep up the good work!

Hasbro originally did the dirty armor aka battle damage Phase 2 Clone Trooper but they then released the Clean Armor variant afterward multiple times. But yeah, no problem dude. Clone Commander Devis Ct78260 The 91st is the same mold as the phase 1 figures from 2003. They put the 2005 phase 2 helmet on a phase 1 body. It’s a combination of both. Not a unique mold. It’s pretty much a glorified custom figure. Not bad but not the best

Clone Commander Devis Ct78260 It’s better at holding just DC-15s as the hands are too small to hold other unique blasters properly from my experience. Other blasters tend to fall out easily or they can’t grip them right. Whereas the 2005 phase 2 has bigger, wider hands to be able to fit the wide range of accessories such as the Locker packs from the Saga Legends line that included so many types of blasters to choose from.

Lamarr Avery Haha. Luckily I was hunting in the wild back in the 2011-2012 era and found him at a hardware store for $10 bucks. I had ordered one prior to that on eBay thinking I’d never find one in person at that time for $20 bucks, maybe $30. I can’t remember exactly. Definitely was not $100. So I have two of him, one rocking his phase 1 and the other of course the phase 2. Fordo is my favorite clone trooper character.

Solomoncumquats Funnily enough, listen to this. I believe I myself lost a darth maul action figure as a child but don’t have any memory of it, but i definitely had the figure back then I do remember that at least. I found it underneath a freezer matter of fact at my family owned restaurant about a year ago. It must’ve been there for 15 plus years easily. Maybe even longer. I was probably playing with it in the back room where the freezers are and dropped it in the dark and couldn’t find it.
