I love how you talk about revisiting familiar locations. With all the travel restrictions I've lived under for the past two years revisiting sites dozens of times throughout the year has kept me motivated and sane. While the location is the same, there are 365 different days, 24 hours on each of them, and 4 seasons of incredible weather. Now add in the angles, perspectives, textures, and more, the possibilities are endless!

Fantastic pics there! I took almost a day and a half to watch this vid as every pic you put up inspired me to go look through my catalogue and edit some! Misty shots always inspire me but the last shot is incredible. I hope to get one like that one day!

As always Kim, God willing we will do this and that. As always a hallelujah shout-out to the beautiful locations and testy weather you encountered, and the creative gift you practice through your photography. Really beautiful images Kim. I love them all but the one with the seaweed on the beach stands out for me. Picking your top 10 is a good exercise to do and I intend to give it a go. My problem can be picking images that I actually like. I tend to be hard on myself as a photographer, something I need to work on. I have really enjoyed your videos and I'm delighted to have found your channel. You are very inspirational, particularly in the way you love to experiment and challenge yourself to do new things. Happy new year and I look forward to following your adventures in 2022.

I really like the Bow Fiddle Rock image. Stunningly pin sharp with silky smooth water hitting all those aesthetically pleasing compositional boxes. 😁 As for me, I'm proud of my first successful attempt at shooting the Milky Way on an island in Anglesey during horrendous windy conditions. Do you experiment with other styles of photography, like, for example Street Photography?
@jamiecurrie45902 жыл бұрын
You should put your top 50 photos online and let people vote... the top 5 are very good but I think you played it a bit safe on 5-10. I think the close up of the ice is by far my favourite of those ten. I think landscape photographers think everything has to be wide angle but often the telephoto and macro shots are much more interesting IMO

What methodology did you use to widdle down the amount of favorite photos? Did you break down your photos into genres and then select a few from each genre to come up your final list? Does it matter that out of your top 20, 8 come from autumn and 4 come from waterfalls, and the rest is whatever? Or, in its most difficult challenge, for me, did you just line up all your favorite photos and start breaking them down into your final 20 regardless of what they are? Thanks. I have much difficulty sorting through them knowing I leave some out even know I want to keep them just due to the subject.
@cb4652 жыл бұрын
I find the same difficulty in choosing. I did a calendar for friends and family this year and that really helped me to narrow down print worthy pics and ones that people would like to look at more than once. I can reccommend it as a way of forcing you to really critically think about your photos and how others would receive them.
