i like that method i also like bending an angle, then holding the pipe up to a straight edge like a tile on the floor and measuring the offset straight off that , marking the whole circumference and then using the 45 mark on the top arm (ridgid), bending back to parallel.

Multilayer underfloor heating. It bends and you can straighten it. It's what they use in college. You can get a tool to straighten it. I went to a local UFH merchant and asked for some scrap, they gave me like a 20 meters rolls for free lol.

@mmplumberАй бұрын
Yeah center to center
@se9225Ай бұрын
I see the question on measuring. What's the difference in degrees if you measure from top>top or bottom>bottom and is there a pattern for degree variants due to non plumb walls or angled walls.
@mmplumberАй бұрын
Non plumb walls you have to gauge by eye, center to center or inside to outside is the only way to measure distance

@peketee2278Ай бұрын
the internet is full of good apps..(for example offset pipe) you can make the bends with whatever bending angles you want, and you don't have to calculate anything. Although I myself have calculated my whole career (over 35 years), I only started using apps in the last few years, although in my case the pipe sizes were usually 10mm-2500mm, but the principle is always the same regardless of the size...

1.4(14...) is the square root of 2. If you multiply the set distance by 1.4 for a 45 degree angle you'll get the length of the slope - Pythagoras 👍.
