Jake, We stayed there in March this year. It’s everything you are saying and more. David Fuller is a fantastic host and the cottages are the perfect tropical hideaway for kiters. Great beach, central location for kite, eat, sleep, repeat. We don’ usually go back to the same places on vacation but we will make an exception for Dutchman’s Bay. Sorry we missed you while there but hard to leave that idyllic setting when all you need is right there. See you next time. Glenn and Carla, Va. Beach, Va.

My wife and I are thinking about renting in January. She’s a decent kiteboarder but wonders if it’s calmer here than at jabberwock beach. The day we were at jabberwock it was quite wavy and she’s not sure she could handle a whole week of that. We kited at green island before and she loved it.

Hey Jake, I'm heading to Antigua with my wife and boys, 16 and 19, both kiteboard or at least are learning, we will be there the first week in Jan, whats the wind like that time of year? is there any point is bringing my gear? since the cost to bring the boards and kites is not very cheap, and if we can't use them, no point wasting the money. We are just doing the resort thing. but plan to explore the island.

January is usually really good for wind dude so I'd say bring it! There is also a place to rent gear at Jabberwock beach which could end up being a little cheaper.

Is there something to do if you’re not a kiteboarder? Would like to go with my GF but she’s not a kiteboarder and I’m afraid she’d get bored while I’m surfing lol
@JakeKelsick5 жыл бұрын
haha there is a good amount of non kite stuff to do. But mainly stuff based around being out side and exploring nature

What’s the dark stuff in the low water? Seaweed or corals? Was planning to come over today from Italy in August
@JakeKelsick5 жыл бұрын
Dark stuff shown was sea weed beds. There are some rocks around but once you get inline with the defence force beach it's deep and rock free.

@JakeKelsick5 жыл бұрын

Hey Jake, would you say it’s necessary to rent a car when visiting Antigua, or can you get around by taxi or Uber?
@JakeKelsick5 жыл бұрын
Definitely rent a car if you want to get around. We have taxis but can get expensive quick.
