Malta is a popular tourist destination with several great places to stay. Valletta is ideal for culture seekers with good connections to the rest of the island, but budget accommodation is limited. Sliema is popular with rocky beaches and a mix of affordable accommodations. St. Julian's is a built-up area with lively nightlife, good restaurants, and bars. Mellieha is great for beach holidays with plenty of resorts and accommodation options. Gozo is quieter with a good selection of beaches and accommodations.
