If they teamed up with anyone besides IFT it would have been such a better aircraft. All of IFT aircraft fall short heatblur had a amazing f14 but IFT really didn't help them get the most out of it in msfs.

Heatblur provided model and soundset. Avionics and flight model was done by IFT since DCS and MSFS uses different tech for that.

Immersive as hell. The weather in Melbourne was crap today, so I flew her round in VR, under the cloud, just above the ground, then went balistic above the top level clouds, at 38k ft, before spiralling back down towards a runway right under me, on the other side of bay, extended flaps, spoilers, gear, then kissed her onto a touchdown. Pure magic, super smooth Experience 👌

Best figther jet plane, not civilian planes, but the just flight Hawk is also very good : the best civilian planes are the PA24 Comanche, the C160 Transall (also military), the Airbus Fenix, the PMDG B737, the PMDG DC6, the Chancellor 414, the TBM FSreborn 500, the TBM 850 and Bonanza Black square....

DCS user here. So I'm partial to what I know and love. However, this looks promising for those in the MSFS realm. There are multiple things that I picked out right away that would say one is better than the other. However, I'll let others decide which that is.

Thanks for the feedback! The move to bring the model into msfs was brave 😂 I for one am much more convinced to try dcs (and combat in general) out after hearing about what this version doesn’t bring to the table.

As a player of both DCS and MSFS I'll say that neither one is going to supplant the other. If you want a full range of experiences then you need both. I'm glad to see the Tomcat in the MS world though I do struggle with the compromises that had to be made in regards to the controls such as DLC and wing sweep. Then there is also the absence of the ability to shoot things down and the adrenaline associated with the act of routinely getting shot down yourself. I have died a million times in DCS, never once in MSFS.

Pop notice. He is talking about the canyon scene in Maverick. Not the original top gun dog fights. Hense, it was F-18's. Since the only F-14 only to pop up in Maverick, is when they steal an old rusty (apparently fully fueled and totally capable of flight) F-14 to get out of Russia, from a runway full of more holes than a gold ball.. If you can afford it, pay more attention.

Top tip, even on successful completion of a good trap on a carrier you always go to MIL power incase you miss the wires. You want to maintain as much speed and power incase you bolter.

Yes dcs model is better. I have flown and own both models. The tomcat and f15e are my main two birds in dcs. My heart has special place for the tomcat. Plus in dcs nothing like cranking up danger zone with the built in walkmin it comes with in dcs. Or listening to kick st a rt my heart by the crue while in a dog fight in dcs. Talk about chills. Nothing like it oh especially in vr

@@EricTFDC it's hard because msfs looks so good but the dcs f14 is just that much better. In msfs you can pull as hard as you want in dcs you will rip the wings off. What makes dcs great is you have to listen to what the plane is saying the sounds of the plane creeking is a good limit and in a dog fight it adds that much more immersion. Try dog fighting in msfs you can do what ever you want u till a stall

It's not better than others, except for cockpit details and graphics/effects. In terms of flight model it's as trash as all others:P. Just try to reach at least 20AoA if you can. BTW, the F-14's wings only start stalling around over 23..24AoA and the fuselage only above some 40AoA. Of course..., you didn't know of that and can never achieve that in FS2020 cause it's done for low knowledge audience and to make easy money!

Idk why people say that the flight model is trash Compared to the other models Dc designs just I refuse to believe i can maintain 600kts at 10g Thats not how physics work As for any other jet They just handle like a flying brick or a pencil 2 stiff or 2 wobbly Or in the su27s case Like ace combat This module feels good and feels how i imagine a fighter of this magnitude wouid The ability to pull 10g and feeling the entire aircraft stress (altho irl the wings would prob rip off in mere seconds) The fact it's possible to do 10g is amazing Being able to go supersonic then drain my speed at full throttle bc of a turn just feels right It feels like theres physics I absolutely love it.
