i've always found in competition if i thought "i had to win" it would cause me think I had lost at the first sign of it. whereas if I played for carefree fun and my enjoyment, great things would happen. Was interesting to find out you have a similar sentiment. Great stuff as always Thermy!

it makes my play better right in that moment because I stop trying all this stuff that I'm "supposed to do" that I was never really good at and instead lets me focus on just how I want to play, which is usually much more relaxed and YOLO-like

yeah first game is extremely sussy, tanks always sieged at just the right moment, medivacs always just avoiding cyclones, and of course both PFs denied instantly

Nah, he was just active. If he was maphacking, there would be no reason to build the sensor tower and let the PF finish at his 4th. He never attacked it until his rally scouted it with a couple marines, then he focused on killing it.

Kind of an odd question but I have to ask, every time you build a barracks, I always see the engineering bay about to be made, and then u cancel and build the barracks 😂

He explained that in a video a few month back, the e-bay has the same size as a barracks, but is cheaper. So he uses it to place his cursor and then switch as soon as enough money is available for the barracks.

I use liberators in 4v4. When I babysit them, they do a ridiculous amount of damage. But without babysitting them, they often either run into static defense the way that lib did, or they overstay their welcome and get shot down after staying sieged up in an area where the workers had already been pulled away a while ago.

I like the idea of taking your natural to fake an expansion and then fly it acrross. I think its safer to build at home and it appears like a macro play when it actually a cheese.

It's incredible how poorly protoss can read the state of the game and still win. That protoss in the last game had his forth down, he had no idea terran was on one base.

No landed buildings damage to GM (damage lifted terran buildings is fine). So only mines, medevacs, ravens without autoturrets, liberators, vikings on air mode and other units that can hold themselves from dealing damage to buildings, only for air and for landed units. I doesn't look viable, but can be a good challenge to get as high as possible with such silly restrictions. I can see problems only in early survival part (allow 4-5 marines in bunker like in air to GM?) and in part when opponent loses all the units but don't want to surrender (allow to build all units to finish the opponent?).

Why do people pause before quitting? From what you say I assume it's some form of BM rage, but usually BM inconveniences the opponent in some way, how does pausing and then immediately quitting achieve that?

I’m having a hard time dealing with ZvZ when it comes to unpredictable zergs. Just had an opponent that made 10 lings instead of the standard 4 and he ended up killed 2 queens at my natural before I cleaned them up. He drones behind it and had a few bane lings to stop my counterattack. So I was left with a bunch of lings and very low eco. After that we both droned but again, he drones to 41 and stopped and just mashed the roach key and somehow he had a huge army advantage over me even after I recovered and had 6 more drones then he did and I was producing roaches as fast as my injects allowed. Don’t really understand the replay

I think a Terran in the ladder just used this against me. He was like 700 MMR over me but I saw it flying in and immediately made a lair and Nydus/warren and when he tried to move hellions and reapers in I made a spine and my nydus with roaches killed all of his SCVs and he rage quit. Looked at his next match in his match history and he did the same thing vs the next Zerg but killed him. I bet he watched this video earlier today lol..

I know I am far behind on videos, so replies will not get attention. But I really wish he used Planetary more in a map control sense. Against high skilled players, sending it into the main base will often just means it die, and the game is either lost or turn into a normal game. But if the PF is used to block of, and control the map. it can be defended when going up, and can have use throughout the fight.

Uthermal can u proxy CC faster than barracs and also proxy factory next to CC so when you fly in and have the PF also fly in the factorr and stratigically place the factory so the add on wont be targeted and build tanks asap??? Or is that too much and high level players will own
