I want to address the Nappa in the room. The reason I voted that he wasn’t a amazing point character is because I find his mid screen neutral lacking. He is certainly good in the corner and he had great loops there, but when he’s out of the Conor he doesn’t have nearly as much. His mid screen BnB isn’t as good as the other characters and this is important because as a point character he will always start the match mid screen. Nappa just seems to struggle to get in and you have to get in twice to get the good damage you were talking about. And if your opponent can sneak a vanish then they’re out of the corner so you have to struggle to put them back in and your now stick with his lack luster mid screen neutral. I’m not an expert but this is my experience when facing Nappa. Who you you have exempted from the honorable mentions? Sorry for the long reply.

@@olympian543 this is a good point, and good question. I would’ve omitted Ginyu, he is easily one the characters I know about the least: but researching him was fun! Also, the reason I believe nappa is a great point is because he can win the neutral (although it’s a strong point that he struggles there) with two assists. That’s where I would run him because honesty, he NEEDS them to gain the corner. It’s a double sided sword isn’t it?

Though his assists aren’t amazing I think swapping him in with a super in the corner is great for him, because you’d be swapping him in while your opponent is already in the corner and you likely have some left over meter to use on EX saibamen. So he has access to his amazing corner combos immediately and he’d still have the two assists he needs. I think he makes a better mid than a point.

a few video ideas you might like are best duo synergies for characters such as Kbuu with either trunks,cell, zamasu (whats the strongest) top 10 best solo sparking mix, top 5 easiest/intermediate/advanced characters to pick up, top 5 characters 1 small change away from being amazing, Common nerfs you see to characters and what makes them so strong (such as crazy lv3 oki always being taken away) 3 dbfz techs that the pros use that you might not notice (dash block, dashing out of corner, moon jump etc) and so on. Goku Blue is a very strong character but he is 100% a mid in my opinion. His A assist tracks, which helps a lot during neutral and it's not bad during mix ups as well. He does need an assist to mix up opponents tho, so he needs to have come after the anchor.

I think this is a good list but I'm a little surprised to see Blue Vegeta not make the top 10, especially after his recent round of buffs. Hook recently dropped Blue Goku for Blue Vegeta on point and he's seen more play from other pros like Wawa as well. Just something to consider.

Oppressive neutral and never ending pressure? 236S destroys beams ? 236S Plus assist is free Neutral ? 236H is a 12f lariat that coverts into an unscaled combo for massive damage? 214L or M + assist and Js + Assist beat all techs ? Can hard counter UI’s wake up with 214S ? Can hard counter wake up DPs? “No mix” but has unreactable tic throw mix in which the throw itself has decent damage but if they get hit with the low they literally explode and possibly lose a character? I mean he might not be top ten but he at least deserved an HM

Aigh, so Cooler. Gigantic buttons, his 3H is an amazing screw neutral tool, great defensive options with his DPs and level 3 super used as a counter state. With beams assist, his Death Chaser can control a lot of space. While his assists are amazing that enable him to work in mid and anchor, point is a position he’s no slouch in.

Even if everyone thinks otherwise, I think Nappa is really good on point, yeah, there are better chars that can get the job faster and easier, being good by themselves, but for me, nothing is better than the outstanding damage the resets with Nappa can make, he's kind of a invisible two-touch kill machine, with times his mix is so unsee-able even really high rank players can't see it, and he's also very good for Tods, if only Arc buffed his neutral, he would be easily on this list (I think), if only...

The thing about Nappa is that he has too many faults. You can discuss the pros on any character and make them look great by doing so. But the cons are what really makes or breaks the characters. I can have a character who does a guaranteed 50 hp off of a standing heavy punch, but if he had a low defense modifier and no keep away game, he's gonna be bad at best. Cause every other character would just run him down. You could say "but that 5HP, though" and that still wouldn't matter cause he'll never hit the 5HP. You get what I'm saying? This is the same for characters with really high damage but with bad mix.

Because its fun to gamble. Granted 80% of the time you get blocked and punished and since you're a big boy there are more combos that can do big damage to you, but when you get those 4 2ms into a 2h the game is yours pretty much.
