Imo it's one of the most expressive pokemon, switching between adorable to absolutely confident in its overwhelming strength just by changing its expression a bit. Honestly couldn't have made a better beetle pokemon.

This is an excellent list, but Gliscor should’ve at least gotten an honorable mention, a scorpion bat that’s equal parts intimidating and goofy, an excellent color scheme, and a design that not only shows its type very well, but portrays a third type well too

Dewott is so underrated as a Middle Stage Starter, probably one of the best. It combines Samurai elements and Tessenjutsu, with otters and their use of tools. It even outclasses its evolution.

The oshawott line in general is very underated. Oshawott is incredibly cute and has a lot of personality. Dewott looks like an amateur samurai and shows it's otter concepts well (same with oshawott), especially with its shell blades and pose. Samurott is an old, wise samurai master and now becomes more of a sea lion than an otter, which (probably unintentionally) portrays the growth of the line.

I feel like Weavile should have been on the list for gen 4 since it is such a natural progression of Sneasel and feels like it has always been present since Gen 2. I was at least expecting it to be an honourable mention but oh well, my top 2 favourite pokemon made it so I am not gonna complain too much.

Yeah... I'm so sad that all fossil pokemon up until gen 8 were rock types, and the gen 8 fossils, while very unique and a very cool concept... aren't really going to be my favorite pokemon. They did you dirty Aurorus :( That rock type isn't any help. I'm still hoping that maybe in a future game maybe the fossil machine will be more advanced and can revive the fossils without the extra rock type.

Wow! This list of pokemon is absolutely perfect in my book! Not a single pokemon on these lists that i dislike, or even close to that. I love all of these pokemon, and the in debth explanation on WHY they're so awesome really brings it home. I find it very sad how many people fail to notice Absol's Yin Yang facial design, even though it's the biggest reason for being in my top 10 pokemon of all time. I found the Gen3 list especially to be immaculate, and i wouldn't change anything about it. On top of that, you did a fantastic job talking about each pokemon, and why they were, or were not chosen to be in the top 10. Fantastic video alltogether!

I personally believe Typhlosion to be 1 of the Top 10 Worst Johto Pokemon in terms of design, yet it found its way on this video. It's an ugly badger with flames coming out of its neck & just doesn't seem that good of a design. For a starter it feels kind of bland & a downgrade from Quilava in terms of both coolness & cuteness.

True, but that's only because of Prankster. If Honchkrow kept Prankster as a hidden ability it would be really solid especially compared to Murkrow as it's not only bulkier even when factoring in Eviolite, it has flexibility in what item it can hold and hits like a truck.

I've had Sableye at the top of my faves for a long time before Scrafty, Hoopa, and Marshadow came around to make it harder to have a single favorite. But Sableye always seems to be a secret popular one, popping up a lot in the anime for some reason. Just so simple, a mischievous little goblin with jewel eyes. Honestly imo the johto eeveelutions are the worst bc espeons design is just the base body of an eeveelution colored pink and with a gem on its head (and I think it has a split tail, not entirely sure though). Umbreon is slightly better with the gold rings but it doesn't rly have enough for me imo.

The forked tail cleverly references dowsing rods, used when psychically hunting for water/oil/treasure they're supposed to cross to mark the spot. Blaziken has some meat on his bones. He's loved because it's humanoid that works well. The others are humanoid but with the hyper stylized cartoon proportions (fat sections with super skinny limbs) that just look off when standing next to humans/ other pokemon etc.

First one that come to mind that I’m hoping to see in the next edition is Xerneas - great combo of majestic, intimidating, and cute, it’s an excellent introduction to the fairy type and what a legendary fairy-type could be, and I just think the multicolored antlers are so cool. Also, Decidueye (and/or the whole Rowlet line) should 100% be listed. Some more honorable mentions I think deserve to have been mentioned in this video: Torkoal, Vespiquen (especially as a counterpart to Combee!), Kricketune, Xatu, Manectric, Ninetales, Tropius. Great video!!

I'm worried about what he'll say for Gen 5 because odds are he may end up saying something disgusting like Galvantula just because it isn't publicly hated enough. For some reason he listed 1 of the worst designs of Johto in this video when Quilava is both cuter & cooler looking than Typhlosion, just because of its popularity for being the Easy Mode Starter of the Gen 2 games.

@@bookmew1081 : Quilava IS one of the best mid-stages, but I do like Galvantula. I think the reason people who don't like it rarely speak up is because arachnophobia and general distaste for spiders is so common that people don't even feel the need to say it. It'd be hard to talk about its design without personal taste toward spiders coming into it.

I mean as a little kid you want your fire starter to become even more awesome as it evolves, although Typhlosion feels like a cool teenager turned middleaged all of the sudden. Also you are exactly right about why people rarely speak up against Galvantula as ugly as it is.

Solid lists, my only gripe with it is giving Kanto eleven instead of ten. I get it, its the OG generation, but I'd save eleven slots for generations like Three and Four which have designs that consistently knock it out of the park. Hydreigon and sandile absolutely deserve to be on the list or at least the honourable mentions. Hydreigon is the perfect embodiment of a hydra without going to nutty with the number of heads. Putting the heads in the arms is also genius and makes the pokemon seem more natural but it's brutality with how the heads fight each other and only the winner getting control of the body might be too scary or intimidating to others. Sandile is perfectly cute and fits the idea of a sand reptile perfectly while also being cool but not overwhelming like with it's evolutions. It's black mask looking like that of a burglar also really highlights it's dark typing.

I've been hooked on the channel since I found it a week ago! Have you ever thought of designing Pokemon based on famous WWE wrestlers? I've always liked the idea of a Randy Orton-like snake Pokemon or a Pokemon resembling a bull design. Keep up the awesome work!
