Great video. I've only ever bought heavy paddles that don't move around on the shack desk. I may have to look into this key if I get into more portable radio. Although it would be very handy, I think a magnetic base would interact with the magnetic tension.

The BaMa Tech is my next paddle. I'm assuming it's your fave? I saw one at Red Summit RF's house and got to play around with it. It's smooth.

@@AA0Z Yessir. I’m still a CW noob but I’ve messed around with a number of SOTA paddles. It’s my favorite so far. I can see how some may wish for bigger levers which is understandable, but it honestly doesn’t bother me much, if at all.

@@AA0Z No regrets. Lots of learning. My first 100w radio, but not my first "good" receiver. Still, I have been able to hear contacts in places I could not hear before with the same antenna, and then make those contacts. I don't talk about it a lot because there is controversy the minute you say Flex, but I don't regret one bit that I got this radio. I will eventually get the Maestro, but not getting one forced me to learn the computer interface; I use the Mac xsdr6000 and the SmartSDR for Mac almost exclusively. I'd love to make a contact with you but my antenna situation says NO, lol. 73
