I love the kaiju. I farmed for like a week straight to collect all the tier 5 I put in mine. 2 clan ER's and four snub nose PPC's, Advanced PPC battle computer, heat exchanger, capacitor, heat mounts and, all the upgrades. It's almost heat neutral and absolutely shreds. Fully upgraded snub nose PPC's are massively underrated in my opinion. One of my favorite builds after my boars head. That one took me two weeks and millions to collect and upgrade 6 standard clan medium pulse lasers, a HAG 30 and, clan LRM 15 to tier 5. With the right upgrades the pulse lasers basically become pinpoint hit scan with a cycle rate just barely above one second. It's not my highest DPS build, but it's just so consistently good at almost everything. And it's crazy fast. It's an absolute monster at midrange brawling and head shot\legging. Plus in chain fire 6 tier five pulses can rip a base to shreds in seconds. And I can one shot delete smaller swarming targets about one a second. Hands down my favorite build in the game.

The Quicsell Sensors Targeting Computer 'Sensors TC (QS)' combines your Sensors and Targeting into a single slot giving one more open slot in the head. However, mod version I have allows for the Command Console with a TC and Sensor. It takes the cockpit, life support, and the one open head slot to fit

Helps that Bara is an exceptional pilot from years of MWO, etc, and driving a hardened ferro king crab sniper. Graphics look pretty good now. Still needs to get the 4x zoom for these long-range sniping builds!

It’s amazing to me that, with all of these cooling quirks, 6 ER PPCs on Alpha Strike are basically heat neutral. I need to start a new game and work my way to this kind of epicness!

the atlas and kingcrab can use the command console cockpit (needs 3 slots cockpit+life support+ 1 free slot in the head ) . if it doesent work the first time put ecm in the mech try again then you get the massage ecm already inside then take it out again and then right mouse button on the command console it should work normal now. Graphic is good like this much better

Thank you for keeping us entertained with all the mech experiments. For your issue with command console: Please check if you have the latest Mod version installed. I tried to rebuld your mech in Instant action and noticed that the SLIC suit only takes the cockpit Slot on my version instead of two slots in yours. The command console takes three slots. in my version its cockpit + life support and on your version its only cockpit slot, so it can never fit.

You really should go for the "unwanted boring" Cantina Missions. The Upgrades, you unlock with them are really worth it! 🙂 Just check it in the "Operations" Window 🙂

I use Better Cantinas mod for more substantial upgrade bonuses, and 2 other mods for 10 cantina missions at hubs, and unlimited active cantina missions.👍

@@adamsee4144 Same here. A 12.5% perk makes it much more worth while instead of 2.5%. These perks make high level missions (with the scary tanks/scary turrets mods) much more survivable since you can't drop more than 4 mechs. Reinforcement airdrop replacing the artillery strike is also much more useful... I live having some air support (read cannon fodder) to distract enemies and give my lance time to properly line up their shots.

A good mod to grab would be "Side Hustle" from steam workshop, it allows you to have as many cantina missions as you want, makes life a little easier.

I find the best PPC Mech in this modpack isn't the Kaiju, it is the NSR-9J. The reason is that the Kaiju has no cooldown perks, and the NSR-9J has 20% Cooldown for them. You can only mount 4, but you can put in a lot more cooling, the mounts are higher, and you can drop in a PPC Capacitor to get the DPS well above the Kaiju, while still being ice cold. I find the low mounts on the KGC are frustrating for ER PPCs, so the NSR-9J is just a lot more user friendly, and does more with 4 than the KGC does with 6.

@@JS-mh9uu Oh sure, and I am not saying the KGC is bad, but the NSR-9J is about the same mathematically, and better in function, due to higher mounts and more free weight (Because 12 tons less in weapons). Cooldown, like heat reduction, gets more valuable the more you have of it. The KGC gets a max of -35% Cooldown (5 Perk, 15 TC, 15 Cantina). The NSR-9J gets -50% (20 perks, 15 TC, 15 Cantina). This doesn't make the NSR-9J shoot 15% faster, it shoots 32.5% faster because all those stack additively. So 4 PPCs shooting 32.5% faster means almost exactly the same damage as 6 PPCs. Since neither mech has any heat issues, this achievable without overheating. 4 ERPCC (C) with Capacitor does basically the same thing you see in the video, with a much shorter time between shots. It is more comfortable to shoot, and the mech is considerably faster due to the extra free weight for engines, and being 5 tons lighter. So when you count in the fact that 6 PPCs is usually overkill, and especially against tanks and flyers even two is fine, it gives the Nightstar a much faster kill time against large groups of enemies. Which is really what matters in MW5, especially with Coyote's mission pack. Not how fast you can kill one mech, but how fast you can kill eight or more.

The Kaiju is one of my favorite heavy hitters. 4x Clan ER PPC, replace the UAC5 with a RAC5 from the freed tonnage (and because I love gatting cannons), Clan LRM15, a decent sized XL engine for at least 50KPH speed, DHS kit, mobility gyro, 3 or 4 tons of RAC5 ammo (didn't get double bins yet), 2 tons of lurms, LAMS, max armor (or as much as possible, especially the arms), and everything else in heatsinks. One chain fire PPC group, two paired PPC groups, RAC5 for flyers and spraying at close/medium range, missiles to soften enemies up from behind cover. Cantina perks for armor, torso twist speed, turn speed, ballistic rate of fire and projectile speed since the Kaiju already has PPC perks. Do it. Love it. Kill everyone.

Your Arrow mech probably burned through its own armor through self-damage and the self-repair only managed to keep the armor barely intact, but that meant when it got hit by an enemy Arrow it got chunked on multiple components.

I think they should set a minimum range for the arrow of maybe 50 feet more than the blast radius just so it's usable by the ai.

@@Zirnike pretty sure there is a min range for arrows. I think it just got tag teamed by multiple enemies. Also legatus, the arrow mech didn't have self repair, it's just rocking standard armour

The atlas didnt just get arrowed by the enemy Mech, she got teamed up by 4-5 enemy mechs. If you watch back and look on the radar she was essentially surrounded.

That thing is a monster, Atomic Breath from each claw. The heat management is really good, but I think you could probably drop some for more armor or other components. That thing kills so fast that heat build up shouldn't be a problem going from wave to wave of incoming lances.

There's 1 way I can think he could make it even more heat efficient, but it could also ruin the build as well. Use an IC (Internal Combustion) XL Engine. It reduces weapon heat by 40%, which is huge. However, it also come with some major drawbacks. 1. No weight reduction (not really an XL Engine) 2. 15% max speed reduction 3. Uses 5 slots in the side torsos. There might be some other things about it I'm forgetting, but the XL(IC) is an alternative if you're running pure energy weapon builds.

Do you go for high difficulty (90-100) missions? Also try duels more often. The enemies might be harder but they also bring tier 4 weapons.

I was running a 6x ERPPC kaiju after my first endgame mission and it broke the game for me. This thing is capable of such a big alpha that it trivializes most content. 90% of assault mechs get CT one-tapped; pretty much nothing but a combat leopard survives two shots on any location. 10 hours and multiple builds/tries looking to outdo the Kaiju later, the only thing that is coming close to the alpha damage is a hero Dire Wolf (Lone Wolf) with 8x rank 4/5 Clan ER LP lasers. The dire wolf still usually takes 2-3 taps to kill, even with the reduced laser duration to focus damage. The PPC Kaiju is just that insane. I think the only downsides of the Kaiju are the lower top speed relative to some other 100 ton builds and low weapon hardpoints relative to the cockpit. You find yourself glassing the ground a lot in my experience.

The Command Console _should_ work. I have a D-H Atlas set up with twin Arrow launchers just like yours and it has one. I'm using for the sensor range bonus. It just takes up extra room in the head. But I think sometimes the 'Mechlab gets a bit quirky and doesn't let things work that should.

Command console will take the heat management away also and you cant have anything else in the head. it takes the cockpit slot, the life support slot, and the one open slot in the head.

@Baradul in my case i have 3 Mechs with the Command Console MarauderII MAD-AL, MarauderII MAD-4A and the Corsair COR-PVT. I don't exactly know where the limitations are with the Command Console, but at least in my case those 2 mechtypes seem capable. You have to leave some of the slots above empty though. I think it needs 3 slots (TCs and Sensors will still fit in).

Actually just realized, they seem to have changed something. The Command--Console consumes all Headslots now. That wasn't the case in the past. All 3 Mechs with a Command-Console had overtonnage, after removing the Console, the still mounted TC and Lifesupport-Module reappeared.

I enjoy your videos and watch daily but taking apart the Pretty Baby was silly. It’s your most consistent, and questionably the best mech you had. Buying PPC’s and going after clan gear makes more sense than striping a beauty that even AI pilots do well with.

The King crab is better than the awesome. Pretty clearly. I was sad the PB was dissembled, but it was obviously the right call. He can rebuild the PB if he hits the clans more often and does more leg/headshots.

Whats funny is I am pretty sure with what was left in the PB he could have just thrown on some PPC's and it would have been fine. even with lower quality components for cooling the AI would have been fine. They fire slow anyways.

I've never been a huge fan of PPCs. for their damage they generate just too much heat and are heavy. I'd take Johnnys Crab with a shitton of ERLL(C) and cooling galore over a PPC boat. :D

​@@hgbugalou Lasers are technically even more pinpoint, it just all depends on your aim. Also with PPCs you either hit or miss, theres no inbetween. With Lasers you can at least correct while firing, getting some damage in even when the initial shot missed.

@dazley8021 I must agree with you, because my aim is just too bad for the peeps. Slow projectiles, high tonnage and heat but... you can peak and shoot, and the sensor jam is a nice cherry on the hot cake. I wish I could use them, but I'll stick with laser washing

I don't know why you can't put the command console on your mechs. I have multiple mechs running them, and the only time I have seen them not go in is when I have something in the life support slot. You have a bug or something maybe? Idk.

Ok so the command console takes the head slot, cockpit and life support and you can install it on a naked mech so it has no pre-requisits other than 65 ton+. The problem YOU are having is you are using some weird mod i am unaware of that is making your Upper hardened and upper armored 1 slot and it's messing with the slot requirements of the Console. I have all the mods you have listed except the fire and smoke one and i don't have that issue. It MIGHT be a load order thing so try moving the YAML Equipment mod to the bottom of the list and see what happens. There is a mod for mod order it's super easy to use it's on Nexus Mods. As for your arrow mech it didn't get shot it killed itself by shooting a wall or building right in front of itself twice. Which is why i have all artillery mechs turned off in settings because every Atlas had artillery and every archer had thumpers so did most Cyclops as a matter of fact.
