The JMP 1watt is so underrated. Put a fuzz pedal or SD-1 in front of it and you literally have Stoner Rock in an amp at bedroom or even home studio recording volumes. ITS SWEET (especially of you roll the tubes to taste).

It's good to see up and coming guitar players once again after tooooo many years of crap and hip slop... Jacob Deraps is imho the best EVH tribute player I've seen...l watch him on KZbin and really love his cover of Mean Streets....excellent guitarist....wish him great success....keep on rocking !!! BTW l had an 1984 JCM 800 lead head and bottom cabinet...played thrash metal for a few years....

Hey man, very cool demo. I was shocked to see someone of your age start playing Holy Wars. I cut my teeth on that album, and back when I was learning it there was no internet, back then we had to spend a lot of time listening over and over to decode the correct way to play stuff. I never revisited the correct playing of Holy Wars since those days but it's actually pretty crazy how close you and I play it. I don't know if you looked at tablature or not, but a lot of the parts that switch between root+3rd and root+5th are exactly how I play it. Anyways, just happy to see the next generation show an appreciation for some of the best metal guitar work ever. (Rust in Peace is an absolute masterpiece.) En passant, je suis Québecois moi aussi. Bonne chance à toi, sois pas gêné comme je l'étais, j'ai manqué toutes mes bonnes chances à cause de ma maudite gêne. Love playing drums along with Lonely is the Night. That drummer had a great swing to his playing and great sound also. Such an underrated song. You nailed the guitar and the tone was spot on and what's up with that Ibanez LP Custom? Has to be 70's, they made great guitars back then, great copies and that headstock is awesome. I've never seen one like it. I have the JMP 50th and the JCM 50th in both head and combo versions and you're right about them being perfect for late night household playing and they look cool as $#%!. Made in Bletchley! The heads are still in box unopened. Wish I'd gotten the JTM. Keep it up, really enjoyed this, well done sir.

I would like to know out of all the 1 watt models which does he feel nails that early VH tone the best . The JVM supposedly has the most gain out of all the one watt models. OK it appears the JMP1H is the best for classic VH and the JCM 1H is the one he used for stuff like Ratt and Motley Crue .

@@ronhana99 Probably added in post. In a lot of videos where Deraps plays certain riffs with phaser or wah, it looks like they are added in post. I could be wrong though.

Thanks! Both amps were used on the 0.02 watt mode, it's basically TV volume. The 1 watt mode is pretty loud, sounds great and is very fun to use if you like to play loud sometimes.
