Make sure to control your speed when in a dogfight,choose your enemies wisely and attack them wisely,most USA aircrafts are fast and not as good in turn fights, bf 109 and the yak and La planes are very good at turn fights but not as good in term of speed compared to USA planes Lowering your speed increase your turn rate and lets you get an advantage on your enemy, choose the ammo correctly and give each plane their jobs accordingly for example my line up is Bf-109 and yak 9 as the fighters and F4UD (corsair) as a ground target attacker and IL-4 as bomber The bf and yak are really good at dogfighting because of their cannons and turn rate and the F4UD has hvar rockets and 2 really good bombs and with ground target ammunition its really good for grinding

First time I started doing air combat in this game ... Air climbing in start while doing the Boom & Zoom is exactly what I did 😂 if you watch Dog Fighting shows you will gain a few things that'll help with this game...glad you mentioned it.

If you are a bit below a aircraft that is high alt and think you have enough energy to kill that plane then go for it but if you are a lot below a high altitude aircraft then do not go to it, you will stall then he will dive and give you his guns of destruction, and third if you see that a plane is zooming upon you good luck escaping, rely on your teammates to kill him

And also forgot turn fighting but basically you need a plane that is manoeuvreable (like a biplane,zero,spitfire etc.)and get into a head on while in the head on you don't fully commite but only commite a bit on the head on and basically turn back and try to get on the enemies 6 o'clock
