Brilliant them may be could do a Nautilus version possibly so the load can be more stressful in your strongest two curves of strength and less stressful in weak part of curve just a thought good luck with prototypes brither.

I have been thinking about this idea actually quite a lot since I argued in the video that homogeneous pull resistance would be ideal. After saying that though I have changed my opinion so that I now agree with your position. Like all muscles, also the pronator is quite weak on the very flexed position, so It would make sense to have a design which would change the resistance according to the angle. Luckily for you though, you don't need to look far, becasue that handle which has the holding rod in the middle of the handle, is actually that nautilus version you are looking for. That is because it is just what you are asking for - hard at the start of the range and easiest at the very end of the repetition. However though, I don't think this pronation handle model type is the most ideal for attempting to achieve this function, because for some reason the homogeneous handle still feels better on this particular solution. I have been working on a model which is attempting to accomplish that on the very first pronation handle. Also the 2.0 wooden pronation handle that I made very nicely accomplishes this nautilus effect, because it also is hardest on the neutral wrist position and very easy on the end of the repetition where you are a bit weaker.

Subbed! What do you think about the weight of the handle itself? I'm going to make it myself from metal scraps but with the scraps I have, I can't make it light. It will be around 8 kilos, would this be a problem while working out with this handle? I don't want to try and injure myself on the long run with excessive stress added with the handles weight. That's why I wanted to ask instead of trying meyself and finding out. Tnank you!

If you are going to make the exact same handle, due to the increased lever for the weights, even 20 kg (44 lbs) is quite a lot of added weight, so having the handle itself weight about 8 kg might be an issue. However though, the 8 kg is sitting symmetrically on the handle, so it would not be creating any lever so it is not quite the same as having added weights on the handle. I suspect you get to the 8 kg by making the entire thick rim of the handle from solid metal, which in my opinion is not needed if you are going to make this handle from metal, since metal is a lot stronger than wood, so you can get away with leaner handle. Like if I would make this from metal I would just buy a section of pipe with wanted diameter (for the outer rim) and then a smaller bar to make the handle in the senter out of it. I get that it might be tempting to use scraps to make the handle from it, but if you are planning to use the handle a lot it might not be a bad idea to invest little money into proper parts, which to be honest might cost no more than 10 $ if you get the metal parts from a proper metal distributor shop. The most expensive part in this handle is the chain, so I think using a scrap chain you have laying around it still however a smart idea, since if you get the chain free then you should be able to make this handle under 10 $ in my opinion. So to answer your question: I would not recommend making 8 kg handle, due to the possible issues from the weight of the handle, because you could just make the handle from wood or metal with a scrap chain under 10 $ in which case you get a proper handle with the price of McDonald's meal or a pizza.

@@T12J7 I've got an old flywheel from a toyota(i guess) truck and with bolts and backplate on it, if I strip it and hollow the center it probably gonna weigh around 8 kg, now it's 12 kgs. Using pipe never occurred to me to be honest, it's very clever! Actually come to think of it, I can just roll a strip of 5 mm sheet metal and just weld the ends to make it a circle. For the chain I got my old bikes chain laying somewhere around. Using flywheel idea came to me from the chain actually. Flywheel already got teeth all around so chain will sit.. Wait, until I started typing this I realized bikes chain and flywheels chain has different spacings between teeth.. Hmm. It wouldn't work even if I made it. Man I was so happy that I could do this without going out and buying stuff. You are absolutely correct. I should make this properly. Wood sound pretty good now. I do appreciate the information and care man, thank you!
