What I understand about lars behaviour is that since his mother ran away when he was a child n he lived with grandparents n then when he saw leena n felt like she looked like his mother from the pic, he abducted her n kept her with him. When she died he brought another girls bt since tgey weren't leena so he tortured n changed there name to leena. Also, he kept them in a closed room so that just like his mother, leena n other girls dnt run away.
