The MCX is one of the only guns with the buffer tube in the game that justifiably can use the strike industries red anodized buffer tube for the velocity increase of .300 blackout. It is for this reason why I only use the long barrel on it as well. Cant wait till they add a .50 beowulf AR.

.50 Beowulf is just 12.7 in a way 12.7x42 vs 12.7x55 and there are no armor piercing .50 Beowulf cartridges

You save money if you buy the 196k MCX. Just sell the sight and the pistol grip. You get it for 91k with best in slot parts already installed. Just get a pistol grip and sight of your choosing after. I guess he failed to realize that the pistol grip installed is not sold by traders making it pretty expensive.

Personally I buy the 196K one and sack off the pistol grip for the GRAL-S and the sight I chuck on a Specter 1x/4x. I like the zoom for longer shots, shame the irons on it are cheeks.

The SI Cobra Angled grip is a usually pretty cheap and has one less ergo than the se-5 for a fraction of the price

That interchange kill is perfect proof of the horizontal recoil. The problem with the mcx is that it rips side to side super hard whereas the m4 kind of meanders back and forth. Its slower so its much more controllable

@@nitemare20000 depending on the situation it’s amazing, just yesterday I came across a two man rat team in USEC camp on woods and the recoil sway HS them both within one second and 12 bullets 😭 they were stood about 5 ft apart 20ft in front of me

You don't get a plus one ergo from both sides on the MCX. I believe only the front sight gives you the ergo bonus.

Is there anywhere where I can find a list of the top meta gun builds or a tier list of some sort? That initial 5 bullet kick up really makes it difficult for me to like the M4 & MCX but I'm still looking for a gun that I really enjoy using (LL2 G36 trader build is what I've used the most so far)

If youre LL2 I would consider going smg with the vectors .45 AP and 9mm PBP (all available on flea market) if money is not a thing for you. If it is I would use the RFB (from flea) buying BCP FMJ from fence (he sells it quite often for a fraction of the price on flea) These are not meta but they are powerful combinations available for LL2 right now

Yo Giga, random question, but did you have any interest in guns before Tarkov? Cuz personaly (as a Dutchman that pretty much never saw live weapon, except in a policemen's holster) it has been kinda weird for me to be so familiar with calibers, bullet velocity, materials ect just because of a game :P It's like I know everything about cars, without ever having ridden one.

Australian here, and we similarly have basically 0 guns in the public around here. Farmers have some guns, but it's not a thing in our culture. Most people who are into guns are also into war history. WW1 and WW2 are very much about the firearms race, so you inevitably just get into guns because of this. C&Rsenal is a youtube channel that made me fall in love with guns, even though I've never fired a single one

MCX is not all that good as they let you think First of all, wasting bullets it's never good. especially when they cost 1k a piece. So Only automatic rifles (or MCX) if you are either experienced or just play close quarter. Improve your aiming skills to shoot to the face, if you're like me, you can shoot through altyns without much problems, i do not train my aim and i'm actually dogshit nowadays. But just rather learn some specific spots to hit rather than letting ur gun do "the thing" I play m855-bcp fmj-ps (or PP if i plan to hit from over 200m) and i'm generally fine. BT for ak's. learn to recognize the armors and the spots that get more damaged and you're fine. 762x is your friend. don't oversleep on SKS, they can be lethal, just be careful of close quarter CLOSED spaces.

You’re smoking rocks if you think cbj is equivalent to 55a1. Cbj is slower, has a dramatically lower max range, and fails to pen lvl 4 helmets in like half the distance of 55a1. Mcx’s also have a FUCKTON of horizontal recoil.
