Here's my attempt to answer your bonus question: sea lions are brown in colour, have visible ear flaps, bark very loudly, and move on land using their large flippers. Seals have small flippers, no visible ear flaps, and move on land by wriggling on their chubby bellies. My overall score on this very enjoyable quiz: 5 incorrect answers. Thank you so much, Ben!😊

I scored 67/75 on this first quiz of 2024. Glad you're back and making quizzes again! As for the difference between a sea lion and a seal... one has the letters "ion" at the end of its name, the other doesn't.

I have played a lot of your quizzes on your website, which I really enjoyed. In fact I got so sucked in I was there for two hours straight instead of sleeping. I wish there was a way to keep track of which quizzes you have done so when you click next quiz you get a new one.

For the bonus... Sea lions has longer flippers, have visible ear flaps, and they are loudly... Seals have short flippers, not visible ear flaps, and they are more quiet... Got only 70/75...

Nice quiz. I would suggest you find a different physiology question than the one about bile being produced in the liver. I've seen that one on three of your quizzes, and I've only done four! But, yes, good work, and interesting.

It's great to have you back, Ben. 74/75 today Sea Lions have flippers that can support their weight and enable them to "walk". They also have visible pinna (outer part of an ear) I noticed that you had a question on The Sahara. I'd be very pleased if that was based on the info I gave you a while back. 😁

A more perfect answer to the bonus question - ears. The family, pinnipedae is divided into three sub-families: Eared seals, (still 'seals') are the sea lions Non-eared seals are the 'seal' seals. That is the scientific difference between the two. Oh, and the walrus is the third

70/75 Narcolepsy isn't so much the sleep/wake process but falling asleep without warning Obviously during the time one is awake as during the day. We have sea lions on an island just a few miles off the coast. They really have it worked out. They're all male. The females live on an island further up the coast. The boys go up during the mating season have their fun and then return back and just lie on the beach and go fishing for the rest of the year.

I couldn't actually tell you the exact difference between a sea lion and a seal without googling but I was raised with both of them in California so I know the difference 😅. Sea lions come up on the beach with their flippers and they waddle. Seals seem to spend more time in the water and not sunbathing. They're usually smaller and cuter too. ❤
