It is my favorite too. I have snorkeled at some beautiful places but I was amazed at Tortola. We felt like we were in an aquarium while snorkeling at The Indians last year in November.

Paul Towarnicki - Mine was setup through my Facebook group for the cruise sailing and was with Aristocat Charters. We did Norman Island & The Indians. The boat owner and his crew are very nice people and we really enjoyed the day.

I would have taken the trip on to Tortola. I've heard it's awesome there. I love going to different places and experiencing other cultures. If you ever go to St. Thomas, you need to go on the Jet Boat Island tour. It is so much fun!

My family and I went on the Dream in April this year.....the food is Cafeteria grade at best. Then again, it's a cruise and all the food is pretty much....pre-made and kept warmed. However there were some dishes and meals that shined above the rest....even if they were just assembly line dishes. With Disney, the service and experience are what should really shine through. It all depends on how you look at it. Micheal's culinary taste has evolved since his first cruise and the move to FL.

Yeah, I prefer the ships over the ports myself. I’ve been to almost 20 countries and could predict how it’d go: really pushy and rude locals with no sense of personal boundaries trying their hardest to get you to buy their trinkets. They got a good view of the islands, and probably had better shots of it from the ship than they did from the streets where you could take pictures of….streets. For the price of a luxurious cruise ship, I’d rather stay on and enjoy the ship myself. I paid for a CRUISE after all.

We were on the Fantasy in May and thought the exact same thing about the food. We have been on all of the other Disney cruise ships and the Fantasy’s food just didn’t seem up to par for Disney cruise food. BUT, in saying this, you are correct! It still doesn’t take away from the MAGIC of a Disney cruise! Best vacation ever! Thanks for taking the time out of your vacations and making these awesome videos! People take holidays in different ways. Some people travel half way around the world and just sit by the hotel pool. For me, I like to see and do everything. I love Disney holidays passionately, I enjoy each port and getting off the ship to experience new countries and cultures. Even, when I go on a Disney theme parks holiday, I like to also visit the place itself whether it is Paris, California or Orlando. It is your holiday Michael and I love your videos, I do hope in the future you are tempted to explore lots of different destinations. I have only been to WDW twice in my life, (I am from the UK), but it was World Showcase in Epcot that inspired me to visit more countries in Europe. I hope Disney can inspire your adventurous and exploration side. Still love all of your videos.

On my last few cruises, I found myself staying on board more and more where I had been to the port of call before. I tried the Rainforest Room on the Fantasy for the first time about 18 months ago and loved it! So relaxing. I usually do the sauna, hamam, and laconic before the showers :-)

Even if you don't have an excursion planned, an inexpensive option (usually) is to grab a taxi near the port and go to a beach or another place or places of interest. A tiny bit of research can tell you what the unique things or "must do"s are at each port. I'm off to Europe at the end of the week on a Royal Caribbean cruise, and we don't have excursions planned at two ports, but I know there are a few things of interest we can do. We'll be getting off at every port, even if it is to walk around a little bit and get a snack and drink!

Perhaps time to slow down and find your joy Michael! Take the time to experience; you don’t have to vlog everything. And you can always come back. I’ve been watching your Jan 2019 WDW vlogs and while you did a ton and were tired, you were thrilled and were able to get so much in bc you are an expert at WDW and already knew how to abort certain things and take advantage of other things. Don’t think you have that for the cruises yet? I’m sure you will! I went on my first ever cruise last June. I watched lots of vlogs so that we wouldn’t do too much but then had some fomo lol. That said, it was in part due to you that I enjoyed senses and rainforest so much on the Dream. Thank you!! For the record, the food wasn’t amazing on that trip either but we still had a great experience. Now am prepping for trip Dec28-Jan 5th. A ridiculously busy time I think and so at risk of trying for too much but watching your Jan 2019 vids and am being inspired. Again, thanks!. Thanks for all you do and share. We’ve done two Disney cruises and absolutely loved it! We really want to do a 7 night on the Fantasy but from the looks of it the ship is very crowded and the food is subpar. For the amount of money you spend, the food should be fantastic! I still want to try it though. Hopefully we can get a good FL resident discount soon 🚢

Glad you enjoyed your cruise! Question: Do you always have late seating for rotational dinner? For many cruises I’ve done late seating for dinner and also felt that meals were hit or miss. Earlier this year I did the WBPC cruise on the Wonder. On this cruise I had first seating for dinner. Boy, I was blown away by the food. It was fantastic night after night, for 14 nights! This leads me to wonder, do the meals for second seating sit being kept warm and lose some of it quality? Hint on deserts, always get the sundae. 😋

I felt the same way about our cruise with the food and service. I found it to be sub-par and not on the level every Disney cruiser hyped it up to be. I felt I could have gotten the same food and service on a Carnival cruise for half the price. I was very disappointed (except for Palo Brunch, that was amazing). Alot of people we spoke to on the cruise also said the same thing and thought there was something going on with the staff as this was not the norm. This was in July on the Dream.

my husband and I had a recent experience similar to you with regards to the food. We thought it was maybe because we're foodies and expected the food to be fabulous and it wasn't. We noticed that the dining experiences that we paid for where actually the only time that the food actually tasted good.This wasn't on a Disney Cruise line ship but I could relate to the experience you had.

Two grown men who would rather eat tiny ice creams together, take pictures with characters, and sit in a spa than explore a beautiful island they have a high chance of never visiting again. If Disney owned the island, they would have no doubt been out there. This unwillingness to step outside of the bubble stuff is getting pretty old. Also, so much of what they enjoy about cruising can be found on other cruise lines for much cheaper. A lot of these experiences aren’t unique to Disney.

I have to admit, I’m a little worried now about the food on our first upcoming Disney cruise in November 😕 it’s one of the main reasons we spent so much money because the service and food was always something that seemed superior. I really hope we don’t end up with several ‘OK’ meals... it seems you were pretty disappointed Michael - I’m sorry to see that and I hope I don’t end my cruise with the same feelings... I've been on 6 Disney cruises and only had one "meh" meal. I was on the Fantasy for the 11 night cruise just this July/August and every meal was AMAZING! Don't be too worried about one persons opinion. As he said maybe there was training or some reason that the food wasn't as great. But Disney is all about pleasing you. If you pick something that isn't so great don't hesitate to tell your server and they will go and get you something else!

Seems like your magic is gone. You are not loving any of your meals. So, have they change the food drastically since your first couple of cruises or is it the same food and you just not wow anymore because is not longer something new. Chef suggestions are usually not the best, sometimes is stuff that they want to get rid off.

I think just expecting too much, maybe focus more on port activities and the areas and trying new things rather than obsessing over the food, I’m sure it’s better than the food at home🤣...been on fantasy several times and never had a problem with the food.

Cruise vlogs are my favorite! I don’t blame you for not getting off the ship. Our first cruise is at the end of the month. We only have one stop in Victoria but we plan on staying on the ship to enjoy the low crowds. We’re relaxers LOL!

The trips I went on from cruises were very commercial, meaning they took you places but most of your time was geared to gift shops. You got a taste of theCaribbean islands but you had to watch your time to make sure got back on ship on time. Not a relaxing time. So might think about staying on board the next time.

They probably keep the tacos things separated so that there is no cross contamination when you build the taco also so the line keeps moving. I have a child who is so allergic to tree nuts that even food with no tree nut but manufacture with products made with tree nuts causes him to swell up. So I appreciate their efforts to keep everyone healthy.
